Anyone has applied under this brand new EOI scheme of Ontario? I am working in Canada on a closed work permit so I am looking forward foreign worker stream.

One confusing area of the scoring factor is language.

Official language ability
(Not applied to Foreign Worker or In-Demand Skills streams.)

  • CLB 9 or higher – 10 points
  • CLB 8 – 6 points
  • CLB 7 – 4 points
  • CLB 6 or lower – 0 points

Here it says does not apply for a foreign worker. Does it mean the IELTS score would not give any points to candidates who wanted to apply under the foreign worker stream? Does it also mean one can apply even without the IELTS exam?

Similarly, it looks like even age does not matter as I do not find any relevant info of score for the age of the candidate. Asking this because I am already in my 44th year :)

I submitted my EOI for the International Student Job Offer Stream. As I do not yet have an updated IELTS, I cannot create my one-key profile. So I sent an email to Ontario immigration about the IELTS. They replied that IELTS is not required for the Intl Student stream (they advised to put CLB4 for creating the profile). But they mentioned that they would give extra points if you have a valid IELTS. Not sure about the FW stream though, you may ask Ontario immigration. I got a reply from them the same day I sent my email.

Yes, I believe age is not a factor for the EOI system.

Hello everyone, please can someone guide me if OINP Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream program requires any minimum points or what is the current trend of draw ? my EOI score shows only 29.

The draw last June 16, 2021 invited those with 38 points and above.

You should be ok to apply as there is no minimum cutoff. Your score may increase over a period of time e.g. when you gain more work experience or with your salary increase etc. The only downside is you can't count on your IELTS score to improve your EOI score as it's not applicable for the foreign worker stream.

Keep updating your ONe-key profile. June 16th cutoff was 38 and above. Keep checking the updates.

Please correct me if am wrong, If one gets a NOC B job with high pay, we can get maximum points i.e. 38: enough to get ITA ?

and why some sections say Not applicable to this stream ? Does this mean no issue if less Education or IELTS points ?

Some scoring factors are not applicable to some streams. You can check it here: https://www.ontario.ca/page/register-expression-interest-ontario-immigrant-nominee-program#section-5

The last draw for foreign worker stream was 38+ points. You'll have to wait for this month's draw to see whether you will get an ITA.
