Hello all! Do any of you knows this?
My employer is planning to move to a new location within the same city (Hamilton, Ontario).
I will be working in the same position, duties, wages, and hours of work.
The only difference will be that the name of the company will change as well as the address.
When this happens, do I have to notify this change to OINP and/or OINP?
If so, what documentation do you need?
Thank you!!!!!
Hey! Can you please advise what happened in your case? I’m in similar situation. I’m keeping same duties, title etc, but I’m being moved to another business location (still same employer, they just have few locations, still GTA). I’m going to inform OINP but I’m worried if this might cancel my application:( thanks!

Hello all,

I have accompanied my husband who is a student in Canada, so, I have an open work permit that will be expired within 4 months.
I got my PNP certificate (Employer Job offer-Foreign Worker) and want to apply for a closed work permit but some questions are confusing and hard to answer.
I would appreciate it to help me answer these questions:
I have the T13 LMIA exempted code and my employer paid the employer compliance fee and gave me the employer offer number as well.

1. Does one of the following apply to you?
  • I am subject of a removal order that is unenforceable
  • I applied for a study or work permit before entering Canada which was approved, but not issued at a port of entry; or
  • I am in primary or secondary school, or a visiting or exchange student, in Canada with visitor status.
  • I am applying for an open work permit under an active public policy or pilot program announced by IRCC.
  • I am a student who has completed a program of study that is a prerequisite to my enrolment at a designated learning institution with visitor status in Canada; or
  • I applied for permanent residence and was found eligible (first stage approval) under one of the following classes:
    • Spouse or Common-law Partner in Canada
    • Humanitarian and Compassionate cases
    • Protected Persons in Canada
    • Live-in Caregiver in Canada
2.Are you a spouse, common-law partner or dependent child of a person who:
  • Holds a Work Permit for a job in National Occupation Classification O, A, B;
  • Holds a study permit and is a full-time student at a university, community college, CÉGEP or other authorized educational institution;
  • Holds a Temporary Resident Permit that is valid for six months or more;
  • Applied for Permanent Residence to an office in Canada and was determined to be eligible for Permanent Resident status (first stage approval)
  • Is subject of a removal order that is unenforceable.
3. Are you a spouse, common-law partner or dependent child of a person who is:
  • a foreign government officer in Canada on an exchange agreement
  • a military personnel assigned to Canada
  • a participant in professional sports activities or events
  • an employee of a foreign news company
  • a religious worker
4. Are you accompanying a family member who has status in Canada?

5. Which option best describes your work situation? (required)
  • I am a provincial nominee certificate holder
  • I am applying for an employer-specific work permit with LMIA_expemtion

Hello all,
my employer submitted the offer of employment and gave me the number.
Where should I put this number in my online application for my closed work permit?
There is no specific folder to put this number in online application

It's pretty straight forward, if you look at the form IMM5710E it's under the section titled "Details of intended work in Canada", there's an input box that has "Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) No. OR Offer of Employment (LMIA Exempt) No." - you put it in here.

Hi everyone, I see this is a very busy thread with lots of knowledgeable people and would be more than grateful to receive help.
My question is as regards the median wage requirement. My present earning falls below the median wage for my noc in my area with about $0.80. Can this difference cause a rejection of my application for oinp-foreign worker stream?
Hi Precious Alabi,
I can see you submitted your application. Did the lower than median wage create any issue for you? I have the same problem, only $0.67 short. Please help me if I should consider applying for foreign worker stream or not?
Many thanks.

Hello guys!
Is this stream closed for new applicants or what? I want to apply with my existing employer, but there is always 'closed to applications at this time'. How to know in advance when they re-open the portal for new applications? Sorry if there is another thread about my question, please advise.

You are in the right thread. Read back few hundred pages to get a good idea. OINP will announce 1 day before it opens. And when it opens, it closes within minutes. This is due to the HUGE demand for this stream. It used to be very good in 2019. But something happened after that. I suspect some foulplay by unlicensed agents etc. Do watch this page atleast twice a day for updates
https://www.ontario.ca/page/2021-ontario-immigrant-nominee-program-updates

Also there is a lot of evidence that this Job offer stream may close down soon ie the next fall season 2021 OR would become Expression of Interest (OINP will choose people) followed by Express Entry application.

Hi everyone,

I submitted my application on November 2, 2020. It changed to Assessment in early January 2021, then further documents were required on 20th January with a 10 day deadline. I submitted what was requested, but the status of the application is still Awaiting Information. It's been 20 days since I filed the necessary information, and 12 days since the deadline expired, but no changes in the status.

Any ideas what can cause the delay? Would it be advised to call/email them, or is it better just to wait patiently? I submitted my initial application 100 days ago.

Thanks,
Attila

Just email them ontarionominee@ontario.ca and ask if they have received your documents or if there are any technical issues and the documents were never delivered. Please state full name, case number etc etc. Refer to their website.

In my case, and during non-Covid times, it took 1 day to get into DIP after they received the documents.

Emailing/calling them is usually pointless as they'll respond with a standard "we will contact you if we require more information". In my case my application sat in awaiting information but I never had any document requests and neither did my employer, then about 4 weeks later it magically moved to DIP.

If you're inland they must do some sort of visa/passport check or verify your payslips with CRA or something else that isn't mentioned publicly.

@hylian - Even though it seems pointless, dont forget that the email can be shown as evidence if the file is rejected for incorrect reasons. He/she can appeal strongly againt the rejection with email as evidence. You never know. They may still be waiting for the documents and indeed there was a technical glitch.
