wow congratulations, how much is R,W,L,S score? i need some help in R,W as I need to reattempt as well, please advise what did you do how you did,
2nd exam results: R:8, W:7, L:8.5 and S:7.5. I think I tried hard this time.. lol
Reading: I tried few online exams available on Internet/Youtube. I brought some IETLS/TOEFL books from the local Library.
True or false or not given ones are tricky so, be careful with these.
Listening: Referred to videos on Youtube (Although some do not follow exam formats but can be useful),
https://ieltsliz.com/ielts-listening/ ,and few other free online web-sites. Spent some time listening to BBC podcasts/audios and audio-books (British accent ones). Youtube has any map related videos, try these separately. When you read the questions before an audio clip starts, read some heading/key words from question that will tell you how the audio is going to be presented and you will be well prepared.
Check the format and specific ask of a question. Example 1: If you provide all the answers in a lower case that may not work. Example: An answer should be 'Brazil' not 'brazil'. Example 2: not to miss article 'a' or 'the' when asked to complete the sentence. example: "His idea had -------- impact on his mind". So, answer is 'a positive' not just 'positive' ( of course, your response will be from the para. only)
Some websites for radio stations also have
transcripts of news reports, interviews and other items, so you can read them while you listen. Two useful websites for this include:
http://www.abc.net.au/rn/ http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/index.shtml
Writing: Wrote few essays and checked those here:
https://www.grammarly.com/grammar-check
I prepared the plan to follow the format structure (Intro + thesis, relevant/short-listed Ideas on each Para and with an example if applicable and conclusion). You will get essay question for an argument or discussion or a view-point All of them can not be tackled in a same way.
Also, practice typing with a Grammar setting off and plan to minimize the spelling mistakes. Many spelling mistake can reduce the score by 0.5. I got 6.5 in a last exam.
Read essays/info. from web-sites like these.
