If an applicant receives an AOR, it means that the applicant has sent all the required documentation. That is all. It does not mean he has met the MEC. The contents of the documents are checked by an officer after the AOR is issued. Once this stage is done, the officer passes the file to a Senior Processing officer for a decision.

Rajkamalmohanram/other experts,

please help me in couple of queries:

1) until i get an expression of interest from a province, can i not apply for that province's PNP program? I have crs 430 but i never got SINP invitation even though i had clearly put i'm open to all provinces in my EE profile. What could have been the reason i never got an expression of interest from SINP program?
2) i called SINP and asked them whether i have to stay my whole life in Saskatchewan if i get 600 points and get a PR via SINP - they said i have to work and stay in Saskatchewan my whole life, i feel it's bit weird - like why will province like to pay for my EI if i'm laid off rather than asking me to look for jobs in other provinces. Please clarify is there any locking period for a province if i get my PR via that province's PNP program? Also can i not roam around and work anywhere in Canada?

Thanks again for your help earlier, please help me now.

Yours Gratefully,

Yes, you can apply. SINP doesn't any such invitations. You have to check when the program is open and apply.

You should, of course, intend to stay and live in Saskatchewan. You have that moral responsibility because the province is providing you with 600 points hoping you would satisfy their labor market needs. However, it is unconstitutional to restrict movement because section 6 (Mobility Rights) in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms permits any PR/citizen to freely move, live and work anywhere in Canada.

Please note I will never support the use of a PNP as a backdoor entry into Canada. That is immoral. However, I would encourage people to know their rights when they get there.

Rajkamalmohanram,

But don't immigration consultant are saying that we have to receive an expression of interest from a province before which i can't proceed to apply to PNP of that province, in my case since I had marked all provinces in my EE profile and I have not yet received an expression of interest from a province should I still go ahead and apply to the province that has opened it's PNP program now and still get a response on my application?

Please advise.

Thanks,

What you are talking about is for OINP. Earlier, your question was for SINP.

OINP = Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. This is for the province of Ontario. SINP = Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program. This is for the province for Saskatchewan.

Both the programs are different. For the former, you need a Provincial/Territorial Notification of Interest (PT NOI). For the latter, PT NOIs are not sent. It is upto the applicant to check when the program is open and apply (if they satisfy the criteria).

My EE profile is submitted on 10th Sep 16. Now I'm in EE pool.
CRS is 469;
Work Exp: 5.8 years in current NOC 2173
Prev: 3.5 years 0131

I have just mentioned NOC 2173 in the EE profile's work history.

Can I expect Ontario's PT letter, if yes then generally how many days after they send these?

Thanks
Program is suspended indefinitely.

But what are the other provinces wanting - applicants directly apply or wait for a NOI?

You should do more research.

Check the below post -

Good luck!

PS: Next time, don't use yellow against a white background. The text is unreadable. I had to highlight the text to read it. Thanks.

HI OINP candidates,

My current CRS score is 404, and I have 2 years of foreign experience and I'll apply for OINP via FSW (since I don't have Canadian experience yet). Right now, I'm planing to quit my job for good and keep waiting for an invite. Although technically speaking 400+ points makes me eligible for OINP, I'd like to know if 404 points would be realistic enough to get me an invite, I've got a bachelors degree and no ties with Ontario, but sure I do genuinely want to live there. What do you guys say? I don't mind waiting a year if it's necessary.

I can't stand my job anymore. I need to take a break and start over in Canada. Please guys, my life course literally depends on this. I'd appreciate any sincere and honest feedback. It means a lot to me.

Thank you for your time! Cheers.

How long can you sustain without a job? Per the current trend, OINP can take 6 months to 1 year to nominate you. After that, the post ITA process can take 6 - 8 months. Can you sustain yourself without a job for close to 1 year and 8 months?

The processing times might improve in the future - but always be prepared for the worst. Until you have something concrete like a PPR (Passport Request), I suggest you not to quit your job if you are not financially independent.

You might get an invite if OINP decides not to change the eligibility criteria when they re-open in November (this is tentative).

Hi raj,

First of all, I'd totally appreciate your suggestion. That was great advice. I'll wait until November to see if the criteria still the same. But aside from that though apparently my 404 would suffice.

Thanks for your time and this quick response.

Yes. I was at 410 when I got my PT NOI from OINP. If the criteria doesn't change, then it is likely that you'll get it.

Hi Raj,

I have received nomination today with additional 600 points. I have accepted the same and my score stands at (415+600= 1015) in "My CIC". However, I am not able to update my IELTS Score in "My CIC". Even after mentioning new score and reverting changes, it is still showing previous IELTS Score.

Hi Greysky,

Congratulations on your nomination. You will ITA in the very next draw I guess. Are you FSW Outland and what's your NOC?.

Thanks and Regards,

Pavan
