Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi everyone,

I am now applying for Open work permit after getting my eAOR for my PR application

Only 4 document checklist have been presented to me
1. Passport
2. Digital Photo
3. Proof of Medical exam
4. Letter of explanation.
And

Work Permit fee $155
Open Work Permit Holder Fee $100

I have certain doubts in this process
Question 1 -> Under checklist it didn't mentioned any form to fill up. Just upload the document that's it. Is it normal?

Question 2 -> Under Letter of Explanation - I am including Acknowledge of Receipt plus Certificate of Nomination and Current work permit. Do I need to attach anything else?

Please advise and thank you in advance.

I am currently undergrad student in Ontario and I will be graduate on June 2017.
I am just wondering if my manager able to apply for pre-screen before I graduate (which is Feb. 2017) so that he can sponsor me as soon as I graduate.

Please help.

Thanks,

Assuming you've already got the nomination and ITA and AOR the yes... it can take less tha 6 months, there have been reports of inland people that have taken only 3 months... but that's a best case scenario, you really should realistically expect it to take around 6 months.

Hi,

I am just wondering if the manager can apply for pre-screen even though the person who is going to get the nominee later is not graduated yet.
In my opinion, the matter of worker is graduated or not is after the pre-screen is approved. No?

Please help.

Thanks,

Hi question, I was confused before whether I should use NOC 1221 or 1241 but then I decided to go with 1241. when I received the Ontario Nomination, the letter indicated the 1221 NOC. Should I change my NOC in my profile to 1221 or just leave it as it is? Thank you.

I hope that OINP will open soon, but my question is, I have created my EOI Profile in May 2016, if I start my application through the OINP in Jan/Feb/Mar (Depending on their opening) what will happen after expiring my profile on may 2017??

You can withdraw your profile today and re-create it before they open. Or you can ask for them to move your application to the new profile, if you want to stick to this one.

I applied for a work permit as I have a job offer and nomination, but it has been rejected because I am not exempt from LMIA. Ontario website tells me I am exempt. Any thoughts what to do next?

Unless your job offer was issued within the criteria in the below link, it is not LMIA exempt. Take a look -

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/exempt.asp

Raj, it specifically says here that "Ontario nominees are exempt from the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) process." - http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNOMINEES.html ... could the OINP site be wrong?

TicTocCroc, I remember we spoke about this few months ago and you said at the time that your were using an agent to do this right? Well either the OINP site is wrong (possible) or your agent messed up (most likely) and didn't use the right channel to request your WP (perhaps he has no experience with WP for nominees or maybe your agent used a paper based application when it should have been via EE/MyCIC 'cos your nomination was through the same system...). Anyway, my suggestion is that you try doing this yourself in your MyCIC page. As soon as you log in go to the apply for WP button and follow the instructions answering all the questions. Or contact IRCC directly and explain that your are an ontario nominee who should be LMIA exempt and had a WP denied due to lack of LMIA.
