i may be wrong, but i think the only time you are eligible for a BOWP (if this is what you mean by an open work permit) is to have an AOR from CIC (not the AOR from OINP).

I contacted couple of lawyers , I am not elligible for work permit as I have applied for provincial nominee not fedral PR

I had checked with my lawyers for my case and wanted to apply for open work permit. He had told me that open work permit is allowed/can be applied if your current work is expiring in 4 months. Check the link below for confirmation.

What happens if the DD sent with application expires... its been 3 months now since my docs have been received and I have no idea about the money sent or my application.

What happens if my payment expires before it is cashed due to the extended application processing times?

The OINP will ask that a new payment be submitted within 30 days of notifying you. Your application will maintain its place in the queue. Processing will resume once the OINP receives your new payment.

OINP declared they received highest number of 1800 applications in Jan 16; implying the minimum time required for AOR ONLY is Feb 2017.

Feb applicants may get AOR by August 2017 Kiss

Remember, we are guesstimating ONLY AOR's. Just imagine / guess when Oct, Nov, Dec. Jan Feb will receive their NOM's Huh. Shocked

Please note. OINP issued only 870 NOM's according to the annual report 2015. Lips sealed

As declared by OINP the least NOM quota is 2700 + 2700 = 5400 for 2015 - 2016. Embarrassed
