Hi All,

I just received aN email from Ontarionominee@ontario.ca.

It says in Subject "Acknowledgement Letter" xxx-16-11630----

and In Body its says The ontairo Immigrant Nominee Program has received your applicaiton. Please see attached for details.


But I do not see any attachment. I called OINP and asked about the attachedment.
The operator says reply back to that eamil and ask for attachement.
He says that he cannot do any thing as its different dipartment.

I am happy that I have AOR now but at the same time not able to celebrate it because of this attachment missing case.

Hey adore_amod, that's fine and congrats. Send them a replay as the operator said. This might not be an issue at all and you would get a replay back very soon as they are not delaying email enquirers. chill

Two queries please -

1) I have seen some applicants say in their posts that they got a verification call from OINP or an officer calling for additional documents. I noticed that most of these are from CEC applicants. Have any applicants from outside Canada also received a call from OINP for anything? Any idea if every applicant (regardless of location) will be getting a call at some point?
2) I have also received a "Reviewed and accepted" reply to the query I had sent. Does that mean that they are confirming that the application is complete and will definitely go through further processing, hence no chance of being returned? Or despite that email is there still a chance of the application being returned?

Hi guys,

I have got a basic but very important question here. I want to understand why applicants try so hard to stay in Canada after expiry of WP? Many of them stay on visitor visa or student visa, few just apply for WP and buy some more time when they already know their application is going to be rejected. They cant even work in Canada. What would happen if they go back to their home country when province is processing their application? Isn't it a better option rather than staying jobless in Canada? What if person is not able to manage extension of WP, visitor or student visa?

I completely understand that after provincial nomination or AOR from CIC, one can apply for BOWP which is a good option to stay in Canada because person can also work in Canada, while his/her application is being processed by CIC.

Please clear my doubt.

Specifically in my case, I applied for Bridge WP to buy time because I just need 2 months to complete 3 years of Work Experience in Canada. (And WP paper application timeline is 3-4 months). After that I'll get 11 more points.

I don't understand why people apply for visitors / study permit.

I believe in to go back to home country. While you are waiting for your invitation from EE draw, you can do full-time job there. And after 1 year you'll get another 25 points (foreign experience) and that's helpful rather than staying here with no reason.

Sent and delievered: 2nd Feb
Got Reply "in the queue": 15th May
Got Pre-aor " have reviewed and accepted" : 10th August morning
Got Aor: 10th August afternoon

However, it has come to our attention that the original bank draft (number: 254331 in the amount of CDN $1,500) attached to your application for fee payment is out of date. As a result, we are unable to process your payment.

We require you to please provide a replacement bank draft, made out to the “Ontario Minister of Finance”, as soon as possible. When you submit your new payment, please ensure you provide your name and quote your file number as it appears on the Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) that you received by email. (Please see attached)

In order for us to return your original fee payment, please confirm your mailing address by way of return email.

Please note that the processing of your application will be on hold until payment is received.

Good to see a smile on your face yes they will finish it up now. I guessed it they will finish all February and March, latest by 15th September and I hope they do it.
