Hello, I think there is a way to get your passport renewed. I know a person who was in the same situation as your's and got new passport, but he has applied it through Indian consulate here in Toronto. Try to inquire about it. If i can find more information i will post you back.

I tried to talk to PSK, they said that you cannot get your passport renewed before 1 year.

Don't worry.. you may explain OINP if needed, as Indian passport can't be renewed 2 years in advance .

Here is wording from OINP site

Your passport should be valid for at least two more years. If you are unable to renew your passport prior to applying to the program, you must apply with your current passport with an explanation of why your passport could not be renewed at the time of the application


if contacted by OINP, you may send the explanation. I don't think they care about it.

There is a clause in the OINP guide that passport should be at least of 2 yrs of validity when you apply for the OINP.

I have applied for the program in February 2016 and my passport is going to get expired in November 2017 which is about 1.5 yrs from now. Since it is less than 2 yrs, will it harm my application?

Moreover, I called Passport office helpline, they told me that passport can't be renewed before 1 yr. Pls provide your kind suggestions.

My application was received by the OINP office on 11 Feb 2016, I am still awaiting the reply.

I have sent them an email stating them the updates in my profile and the new profile number to be linked with my application, as my EE profile was deactivated because of the funds requirement was changed in may-2016.

I got an auto-mailer on 25th May stating that they will revert in 15 days time. - Still no reply received.

Can anybody guide me to identify the further action on this or . . waiting is the only alternative????????

I am little confused here.. who deactivated your profile because of change in funds requirement?

I think once you submitted your application, your profile can't be deactivated unless until your Express entry profile is expiring because of one year window.

In that case, you should create your new profile and link the old profile to it and send the new profile number to OINP office.

Please throw some more details on your application.

Damange your passport. Put it in water or oil and then then go to PSK for renew.

Also, I frequently see updates from applicants that they have received their AOR but they are all inland candidates. When do people outside of Canada get them? Has anyone got it? Does it help if I email CIC? Please share info as much as you can.

Nopes.. It would add complications ! moreover the same passport be re-issued not the renewed.

I believe it's better here than a whatsapp group. but choice is yours.
Not sure about Google sheets but you may see the status every 2nd or 3rd page. It's pretty much updated.

Inland or outland it doesn't matter. But yes, Inland with expiring work permit seems to be priority for OINP..

How do we come to know about Application received date? I had sent the application on Feb 23rd. Through the postal office I came to know that app was delivered on feb 26th.
Will OINP send any mail regarding the package received date or any notification mail before AOR?
