I believe its a system generated mail but you may expect to receive AOR soon. BTW what stream did you apply in? And When did you apply ?

Please help me guys!!

There is a clause in the OINP guide that passport should be at least of 2 yrs of validity when you apply for the OINP.

I have applied for the program in February 2016 and my passport is going to get expired in November 2017 which is about 1.5 yrs from now. Since it is less than 2 yrs, will it harm my application?

Moreover, I called Passport office helpline, they told me that passport can't be renewed before 1 yr. Pls provide your kind suggestions.

I've not received any such mail fron OINP. Is it normal or there is something which i've messed up?

I believe that if you have sent OINP an email asking about your app status, you will get this pre AOR email.
So if you didn't send any email to OINP then they won't send you this email.
Although it takes time to get their response. I didn't contact them yet. So I didn't receive any email.

Hello, I think there is a way to get your passport renewed. I know a person who was in the same situation as your's and got new passport, but he has applied it through Indian consulate here in Toronto. Try to inquire about it. If i can find more information i will post you back.
