dont worry it is a temporary pause. Up to 6th December it was all okay there was a reasonable flow on AOR's. Its just the last week and this. May be they are coming out with changes in May. They might announce 2016 quota an resume sending NOI. After all they must be doing something........

Hi guys,

I submitted my OINP application in Feb 2015. I obviously haven't received any acknowledgement yet. I applied for work permit extension and they refused it as I do not have LIMA.

My current PGWP expires on June 26, 2016. I have no idea what to do. Any information will be appreciated.

Around 90-120 days after AOR.

Can anyone from this group who live in Toronto reach out to OINP Office and ask them that why they are taking so much time to process applications as they are currently sending AOR
(Not Nominations) to December applicants and last AOR sent is of 8th December Applicant.

At this speed it seems that we will get our AOR in June or July if they work in May and June unlike December and January.


If anyone can go than it will be helpful to whole group.

Just called OINP office. I inquired about why OINP is taking that long to send AORs and the operator simply replied that they received a large number of applications which is causing a backlog. She didn't tell exactly when the backlog is going to decrease. I think she is there just to make this one line answer to anyone who inquires about his application. So guys, it is evident that we people who applied in February will have to wait longer. Currently December applicants are getting their AORs.

btw @jain_pri, you have hope. Since your WP is expiring, you are eligible to get it converted to a open work permit based on the fact that you have applied for EE and possibily OINP also. Connect with a lawyer and have it sorted out.
