I have a similar question. My EE application was submitted in February 2016 and I received AOR in August. I am waiting for nomination now. I am concerned how would my application be affected if I decide to get married before getting PR.

Few options I am considering are:
1. Before getting nomination, I get married and update OINP accordingly.
2. After getting nomination and before submitting PR application to CIC, I get married and submit my spouse's application with mine.
3. Sponsor my spouse after I get PR.

I want to know which option would be the best for me. Of course, I don't want this to lower my points and impact my PR application.

Hello everyone,

If anyone can help me out to sort some general queries related to OINP:

1) I want to know that during the processing of application (After getting the AOR) it is advisable to switch the job or not. As if switching the job can effect the processing of the application.

2) If it is the right time to get married at this point of time as i'm confused that linking the profile of my spouse with that of mine can effect the processing of my application.

It would be great if anyone can address my concern.

One of the better options is to get married AFTER you submit your application. This way, your points will not be recalculated - you just have to show additional proof of funds. There won't be a large gap between your nomination and your e-APR submission (hopefully).

yes you can celebrate and invite us too. Reduction of marks will not affect your OINP application

I have sent my draft on 20 August and it was delivered at office on 25th August. Today I inquired at the bank they said dd hasn't been enchashed yet by oinp. Why is it so? neither I have received my old dd!!

You will be contacted by our officer with the request to provide an updated Application form with ALL your dependents’ information (page 6) and any other updates that might be required.

I just got this as reply from OINP for an email sent July
What is the second stage of processing ?!!! And what was the first.
