Your conversation with the officer was amazing!!!
Normally, the officer's are trained to be courteous and you were lucky to come across such an officer.
Great you took the opportunity to get answers to all your queries, which are mostly common to all.
Slowly I believe, the NoM's will pick momentum; as OINP appears to be working on add. docs simultaneously for all eligible applicants with AoR's.
We are are awaiting the news of your NoM!!!
Thanks man! Hopefully!prashantduggal said:It really feels great when someone shouts nomination.
Raj - your turn is near. Be ready to shout.
All the very best for you Raj... You are a great contributor on this forum helping everyone... In fact, whenever i receive an update on my application i definitely think of you, we had similar timelines. But now i am waiting for my PPR and you are still waiting for your nomination... I feel sorry whenever i think about this. Hope you receive your nomination as soon as possible... I will pray for yourajkamalmohanram said:Okay guys, I gotta post this. I called OINP today and I was able to speak to an officer. Not an operator but an officer. And man, this guy was god-sent. Now, god-sent is not an overstatement. I'll tell you why. He never said the 2 things I didn't want to hear.
1) He never said "Sorry sir, we have a backlog....."
2) He never said "Please send an e-mail to ontarionominee@ontario.ca for more information".
This guy spent a good 10 minutes patiently explaining stuff and talking to me.
I went like "Good Morning, my name is Rajkamal Mohanram and I have applied under the HCPS. I received my acknowledgement on 11th Feb. I'm calling to inquire as to when tentatively I can receive my nomination. Can I give you my file number?"
He goes, "Yes sir, please give me your file number". I gave him my file number. He had the entire file in front of him. He said, "Sir, so have you sent a change in personal information form lately?" and I said "Yes, I did. It was for a change in address". He said "Okay, we have received it. So, what is your question, sir?". I asked "Many of my friends have submitted applications after me and they have got nominated. I'm getting anxious day by day because of that. The application guide said the process is going to be FCFS.". To that, he said "Sir, let me explain to you how the process works. We receive your file and we send it out to different groups. Groups with less number of applications might issue nominations quickly. Be rest assured that your application is with us and you will receive a decision on your application".
Next, I went "Sir, was my file ever referred to a senior processing officer?" and he checked his system and said "Oh yes, it was. Yes.". Then I go, "Is there a way to know or contact my officer directly". To that, he replies, "No sir, I cannot give you that information. I am on officer myself - your file is with a senior processing officer. We don't give the contact details of the senior officers because it would take up so much of their time that could go into productively working on applications. Your file is in the last stage". I said " Sure sir, I totally understand that. The only reason I called you today was because people who have submitted applications after me have been getting nominations lately and that's why I was very worried about my application. So, can I expect a nomination before the end of this year?". To that, he said "Sure, I would think so. Yes. Your documents are in place and its just the senior officer has to take action on it". I said "Thank you so much sir. Since you have provided me with an explanation, I feel better now. Thank you so much for your time". He goes "Ah, no problem!". I go, "Thanks a lot for your time once again! Have a great day ahead.". He said "You too. Bye". Hung up!
He sounded so positive throughout the call. Especially when he said "Your documents are in place....".
This is the best conversation/communication I have had with OINP till date.
Sir, if you are somehow reading this, thanks a lot for your time. No one, till date, took so much time to explain it like this. #respect.
Okay. BTW, a Nov 30 applicant got his nomination sometime back. Reported via Whatsapp.

Great convo Raj! Thanks for sharing. I know the guy said the files are given to the Officers in batches but for what I am seeing those who got calls late are being nominated. As in a Last In First Out scenario. Our files are early November and we both got clarification questions early in the game... but are still waiting. Probably just coincidental and our batch is moving a bit slow?rajkamalmohanram said:I sincerely thank you for your kind words! Just giving back what I took! . Glad to help!
