since the 17 th Nov applicant mentioned that they're in Canada on a visa ( not tourist ) , I think this does have to do with employability as well.
the more the probability that someone has to getting a job and settling quickly ( so that OINP doesn't have to worry about unemployed people as a whole ) the quickly they'll get nomination.
this is somewhat different than the "in demand jobs and professions" in Ontario. this is actually a case of someone on the timeline to get the nomination but at the same time getting a potential job.
just my 2 cents.

Forgot to mention, I received my Visa during the application process and told AB this, he then asked for this to be sent across as additional doc. I had previously been in and out the country many times as a BusinessVisitor prior and during the application.

thanks naviavia, so this does support what I've mentioned about employability and settling quickly.

Yes... He'd said so in a previous message. CEC w/ WP expiring, so has priority. ;-)

Not true. OINP only considers those with expiring work permit as a preferential nomination. In this case the officer dint even know that applicant is in Canada. FSW is FSW.......the last choice for OINP ???

umm, right thing but after knowing that they had a business visa and been to Canada multiple times, the nomination was quickly given.
that's why it was quicker than rajkamal.
honestly, I don't think it's about CEC or FSW, but from their perspective it's a good co incidence that right during the documentation checks, they found that the candidate had such a business visa history. just the employability factor I think.

Again don't think so much. There duty is to check documents for their correctness and not to decide who is good and who is not. Investigator Analyst is like a Detective person. They ask you question to trap you to find out if there is any misinterpretation or not. that's all. IF he finds the things in order to what is mentioned in the Application he will ask for POF update and few things and let the file go for final Signature.

Relax buddy....iski aayi ...uski aaayi...jiski aaayi...apni bhi to aayegi ek din....
dekh lena us din...ki baaraat kise kahete hain

I think I saw someone in the FEB or MARCH group who got a nomination, but was FSW... I was surprised initially but then found out he'd been working in Canada and his WP was expiring... I don't think it matters what category you are, if you have been working in Ontario under a WP that's expiring they will give you some priority. This is a lot more common for CEC folk as they tend to be 99% inland, but there are a few FSW inland folk too that didn't select CEC probably because at the time of their application they didn't have 12 months of Canadian work experience.

@ g126 that's true. that's why the preference goes like

1. CEC Inland
2. FSW Inland
3. CEC outland
4. FSW outland

I think you're right, but let's not go down that rabbit hole again of preferences... ;-)
