And I received the call at 6:33pm IST. So sit sharp after 6pm if you are expecting a call.

I'm curios about these calls, are they scheduled at all or out of the blue? Do you get any warning that you'll be getting a call? Initially I thought they'd be scheduled much like a phone interview, however, after reading several comments here I'm now not so sure.

I remembered having received a call from a number starting with +1-518 ... but it rang for only 2 bells before I could pick it up. Fearing this call scenario, I checked it in the ISD code list only to realise it was a New York based number. I am though still unsure if it was OINP or not.

When I received a call back in April, it was from +1 416 number. She just asked me about my current job, my intention to move to Ontario, and what I would like to do in Ontario. It only lasted about 10 mins.

NOC is 2147. This might just be next phase of waiting. Other folks have been waiting for months in the "Decision Phase" but we do see the pace picking up atleast with additional docs requests. Unless the nominations start coming through we really don't know if they have started to look beyond the managerial NOCs or not. Any progress is good progress at the moment though. Fingers crossed everybody, let the nominations start flowing in!

The duration of the call was around 20 minutes. The officer was a very nice guy and seemed very polite. I had some difficulties understanding him (due to poor cell phone coverage) but he was very patience and made an effort to make himself understood repeating the questions as needed. He was very friendly and did not make me feel intimidated or uneasy at all.

First, he asked me my full name and date of birth (just to confirm my identity). Then, he asked me about my past working experience and my current job position. He asked me questions about my role position, my responsibilities and the type of company I worked for. Afterwards, he asked me why I was interested in living in Ontario and what I would like to do in Ontario.

Regarding the documents, he only requested me to send an email with scanned copies of one year pay slips and an updated bank statement for the last six months (to make sure I still have the required settlement funds). These were easy to collect and I managed to send them the day after. It seems they are requesting everyone the same documents.

As for the phone number from which I received the call, the number was: +1 416-212-**** (I do not know if I would be breaking the confidentiality by providing the whole number)

My phone conversation with the officer was pretty similar to what Jean has posted here.

My phone was on silent and I hadn't noticed the phone ringing; I ended up answering the phone on the fourth call (Yes, the officer kept trying till I actually answered it!) and I had three missed call with ten seconds between each. Stupid me.

The call went on for 23 minutes, and the questions revolved mainly on my work experience. The officer wanted to ensure that my roles matched the duties described under 2171. Mine do, perfectly. He went through my reference letters cross-checking every single thing over there, and asked me to explain the project I am working on currently. If you are asked this, please do so in layman terms.

The discussion on my work experience went on for close to 15-16 minutes, and then he wanted to know why I applied to Ontario, and not any other province.

Towards the end of our conversation, he asked me to send him my latest bank statements (he was quite clear in that he required only PDFs and not the hard copy of my bank statement).

As in Jean's post, the number is the same one - starts with +1-416-212. If you have Truecaller installed on your cell phone, it will tell you the call is from Toronto (service provider is Bell).

For the bank statement update.

I had the money then i was moving between countries and spent almost all of it. then I saved them again now!

Is that OK?

I mean currently I pose the POF in my account and before landing I would have like 2X or 3X the POF.
