I received my AOR on 21 August and I was asked to resubmit the application fee.

i submitted the bank draft on 23rd and it was received on the same date.

How much time usually it takes to receive the acknowledgement of the same?

Nice. So, I'm assuming they have now assessed almost all November applicants. Sashidhar_sm was among the last applicants on our list. Good to know. May be they will send nominations as a batch - All November applicants in one batch. .

Yesterday the phone call was from RM.

So AB is basically dealing with November applicants. OR may be they have now appointed a few to speed up the process. 15th Dec FSW got a phone call which was also not from AB

good point, yeah maybe they did appoint new people to quicken up the process.

I received the 'decision phase' mail about an hour ago. That was fast! I hope it stays that way

Nope but through repeated e-mailing and phone calls, I have got consistent replies saying that the file is in the last stage of processing. I called them on Friday and when the operator said my "file has not been finalized yet", I asked how many more stages are after this. He said "None, this is the final stage".

Just came across this - seem as though the government is preparing to take in a further 6000 Syrian refugees before year's end. On another note - a tad positive news for temporary skilled workers in Canada, how and when it will materialize is another story.

Hi All, Canadaexp,

My WP is going to expire and I need your opinion/information. I submitted OINP application in Feb 2016 and received AOR in Aug 2016. I am FSW inland applicant.

1. What is the difference between BOWP and Open WP?
2. If WP expires, what is better option? To apply for paper based Open WP or paper based BOWP or visitor visa? My employer is not going to extend my Work Permit.
3. My spouse and kids are also with me. If my WP expires and I apply for Open WP/BOWP, can I still apply for extension of their visitor visa?

Please suggest. Your inputs will help me a lot.
