Thanks for pointing this one out. I just had another look at the receipt, and the date is February 2016, so when my first bank draft was received by them. In the description, it says OINP Processing fee. So maybe that means it's a receipt that they got the new one as well. It was a little confusing given that the receipt was clipped along with the old bank draft.

I just didn't know that THAT was the receipt for the new draft. But if you say you got the same, then I guess things are still on track.

I understand exactly what you mean. That's the only reason why I checked my friends receipt.

Okay, So there must be two dates on the receipt / that paper we got -

One is the date they received your application and that is the same date you will find written on your old draft, the one which you just received.
The second date on the same page is the one on which they must have cashed your new draft.

Thanks, and in between you and me I personally think that the more they like you the quicker they process your application... If you keep bugging and annoying them with emails requesting updates that MAY make them like you less... It would certainly make me like you less if I was a case officer :P

Hahaha...
See, that could work both ways...
Persistence does have its rewards....
And sometimes people who send too many emails/ phone calls/ fax could also get nominated quicker ...But I am not willing to take that chance

Indeed! ;-)

My favorite thread!!! Just to let you know that we've just had another draw and the cut off has fallen to 475 CRS points with a whopping 1800+ invitations!!!

This is great, if the CRS continues to drop (and it will if they continue to invite 1800+ people) we'll be seeing people from the thread getting their ITA's before NoMs ;D

Yep that's my receipt as well. At this rate, I'll be happy to get an ITA via normal selection even if I paid for OINP. It's great to see people like raj getting his nomination finally. It gives hope! Just sucks that I need to do another IELTS because my current one is about to expire soon.

Agreed!! People with CRS in 450s and 460s can start hoping again after todays draw.
Good luck with your IELTS... :)

I just read somewhere that this the maximum number invitations sent out till date...
If the number of invitations increase or stay around 1800, is there a realistic chance of CRS dropping below 450...
What do you think??

You may have read that post by me in the DEC thread! ;D

That's correct, before today the maximum was around 1550.

If you look at the previous draws beginning around Sep/2015 they started issuing 1500 per draw and the CRS cut off dropped all the way to 450 around Feb/Mar 2016... then they started to restrict to around 700 and it began to rise. I'd bet that if they carry on issuing 1800 every draw from now on I think we'll dip below 450 by year end!

Finger's crossed!

This is so cool!!! There are so many NoM and ITAs flying in the Dec and Nov threads!!! So nice to see... hopefully we'll see that in this tread in the near future.

Received my receipt via email on October 11th and old DD on 19th

Finally received my old DD yesterday. Received the receipt email of Oct 11th. Looks like it takes 7-10 days after receipt to get the old DD back.

That's strange. How come some people are receiving their receipts by email and some by mail clipped with their old returned bank draft?
