I have a quick question. I live in Ottawa and I recently moved to a new address. Should I notify OINP about my address change. I am not sure if OINP will send my any post/mail. Will the rest of the communication be through email or phone, like additional doc request, phone interview, etc.

Thanks,
Vignesh

Congrats, Rob2k! I hope you get your refund. If not, no worries. You got the most important thing, the ITA!

They should contact you via email, but in any event you should notify them about your change in address...

There is a change of information form in AOR mail. you'll have to fill it up and fax or mail them.

Many Feb applicants including myself, are expecting to get nominations by Nov-Dec this year.

Hope they finish March applicants too. It's high time. They no more AORs to issue so they should be able to give nominations at a faster pace now. It's strange nomination is taking almost a year whereas post ITA it's 6 months

Does that mean Dec applications will be finalised before that?

Hey I think we are in the same boat, sent my application in Feb, and got AOR in August. Did your bank draft expire too? I sent an updated one already but don't know if they resumed my application...

I don't think it's as simple as that!

I'd wager that we'll see March FSW nominations before all the Nov/Dec/Jan get done. Some case are simpler than others and added to that some case officers are faster than others... It's a question of luck I'd say. Take Raj for example, everyone expected him to have been nominated by now, but he's probably stuck with some meticulous case officer that can't quite make up his mind on whether or not he's happy with Raj's file... As a result his file has been sitting at the final decision pile for months now.

Quite possibly... I read somewhere of a AOR to PPR case in 1 month... but I've been looking ahead and the people in Brazil who have been using the São Paulo VO have been having a hell of a time... Their ordeal is similar to ours, there a some who have been waiting 8+ months after AOR and still nothing... As a result I'm now looking at a PNP process that will take around a year to complete and will be going into a eAPR process that will likely take another 12 months...

By the time I get my PR, if I get my PR, I'll have forgotten WHY was it that I wanted to go to Canada in the first place :P

Ppr can't take that long!! What will happen if medicals expire?

Excellent question... but they are valid for 12 months right? And you do them after AOR, so if they take 10 months to issue PPR then you'll still have 2 months to land.. Admittedly it's tough on the candidate, as he'll need yo get his act together and get it done, but it's feasible!

As a matter of fact one of the guys has jusr got his PPR yesterday - 7 and 3/4 months after AOR. It seems it's tough for everyone. Check it out - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/express-entry-applicants-from-brazil-connect-here-t388409.375.html

Thanks, SSCORPION, thanks to all the others who replied. It's an interesting and helpful discussion. Made me a little bit optimistic again (:
