Hello all,

I'm a newbie here. Sent my application on 16 March and have got a letter saying application is complete 2 days back with receipt of the cheque. (I hope this is the AOR)

There will be two PDF 1. CASE Number Receipt No 2. Receipt of your application fee payment.

Excuse my ignorance, but can you please guide me what next and how much time does it take now? You need to read, and follow this forum.

Wait, till you get the nomination. God and OINP knows how much time NoM will take. We are all waiting.

After nomination 600 points get added to your CRS followed by a ITA from IRCC.. Read the complete process

Will these points be added to ee profile later and then we have to go through processing again? YES
I would appreciate any replies.

Follow this forum and seek guidance, clarifications.

Thank you! In case there are any whatsapp groups related or this. Please add me!

Saw this on another forum and thought it would interest you guys.. Basically OINP reduced the minimum CRS score to 400 (previously 430) for the 2016/2015 cycle, which was a total disaster as it flooded them with applications. This means they got 40% more applications than they excepted. Hence the rejections for trivial reasons that we've all being seeing... It seems that when the process reopens they'll raise the bar and set a minimum CRS of 450.. It's unclear what will happen to excess applications of the current cycle but I reckon that it will go into the 2017 quota, as it would be very unfair for them to reject candidates, who have already paid the admin fee, due to their blunder in lowering the minimum CRS too much...

OMG here we go again... all these baseless rumours.... sigh... let me try and explain this, AGAIN...

OINP needed 5500 candidates to fulfil 2016 quota... Lets say I'm Mr OINP, would I send exactly 5500 invites? Heck no, i would send atleast 6000 invites... because
1 - Not everyone will accept the invite
2 - There are many others who will apply for several provinces, and wont choose OINP
3 - Some applications will be rejected (For several reasons including misinterpretation)
4 - Various other reasons

Whats why I would keep a 10% buffer, to be on the safe side...

Note : I (Mr. OINP) stopped issuing PT after 16th February... Why ? Because I had reached my target of sending 6000 invites.
If I had reached my target of 6000 invites on 16th Jan, I would have stopped at 16th Jan only. If I had reached my target of 6k invites by 15th March, I would have stopped then. I did not specify a specific time frame like saying I will send invites to every applicant from 1st Jan to 31st Jan, and I thought I would receive 6k invites, but i got 10k instead..... No - I waited till I reached my quota before I stopped sending invites.

BTW FYI - I'm still sending invites for french speaking candidates, again - not everyone i send invite to will accept.

Now coming to 2017, they will probably increase the CRS score to 450, (I actually think it will be around 430, but thats just my gut feeling not based on my actual facts) because they want highly qualified candidates... I mean who wouldnt - Its not a charity... I have been trying for Aust immg since 2014, but I cannot apply anywhere becoz the NOC code that I have is not required in any state.... does that mean Australia is being mean to me by not giving me a fair chance... Heck no, they have a specific list of requirements and I dont fulfil it currently...

personally, I'm interested to see what changes come during the Sept/Oct timeframe, how the EE system changes that is...

All good but strongly and only based on the assumption that they're actually working towards 100% of their target attainment!
Mind you: how much of the sales quota does your company attain? 40? 60%?

last year they only nominated 800 of said 5500.

The quota for EE applicants (Human Capital Priorities Stream and French Speaking Skilled Worker's Stream) is 2700 only. Since they have accepted so many applications, I believe they are compensating for the low number of nominations they issued in 2015.

Why do people panic so much and constantly are looking for reasons to increase their anxiety after one situation to another.

The fact of the matter is:

1. All applicants with 400 plus CRS, were officially invited by OINP, we all applied, met the criterion, got the AoR's.
The application guide, did not mentioned any prerequisites of NOC specifics, other assumptions you made.
2. OINP, CIC are managing NoM's, quota's etc. The applicants are not responsible for the gross misplanning, mismanagement, delays...
3. What strategy, policies, procedures, CRS, decide for 2017 is their prerogative.
4. Australian and Canadian PR processes are not comparable.
5. Now, the onus is on OINP. Whether they will honor the AoR's by issuing Nom's or they will shelve, retract the OINP/NOI/PT.
Irrespective of their decision, it's indeed high time to inform the applicants who are in a state of distress, anxiety and uncertainty.

aoamber: We are human beings and are created weak by nature. The unexpected situations, uncertainty, delays does have an impact.
We are deliberately not looking for reasons to raise our anxiety. We are just venting out our thoughts. Let's have this liberty.

Raj: A batch of NoM's for Oct / Nov applicants will be the most welcome step by OINP.

Hi everyone,

One of my non-accompanying dependents turned 19 years old a few months before I received my AoR. According to OINP/CIC, a dependent has to be less than 19 years old.

What I know
- That I need to fill out a Change of Personal Information Form to update OINP

What I'm not sure of
- Do I just state that the number of my dependents has decreased by one and the reason for the decrease?
- Do I need to send them any additional documentation at this time (copy of birth certificate, copy of government issued ID etc)?
- Do I need to do anything to my Express Entry profile?

What I have done so far
- I wrote an email to ontarionominee@ontario.ca more than a week ago asking for guidance and haven't received a reply

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

wait for their reply, because what I understand they lock in the age at the time of PT NOI as their parameter

Since the dependent is non-accompanying, you need not do anything, IMO. This change hasn't made a material difference to your application. This neither affects your points nor renders you ineligible in any manner.

One thing that I can think of now is the amount of funds that you need to show as POF might have decreased because according to IRCC, the definition of a dependent child is :

A child who depends on their parent for financial and other support. A son or daughter is considered a dependant of their parent when the child is:

under 19 years old, and does not have a spouse or partner, or
19 years old and over, and has depended largely on the parent’s financial support since before the age of 19 because of a physical or mental condition.

Firstly - I'm not sure how accurate the 800 nominations figure is, but lets assume that it is...
You need to ask yourself this question - Did they issue say PT to 1000 candidates, after 800 nominations did they reject or give apology letter to the remaining 200 ? I dont think so.... I think they only send PT to 850 candidates, 800 of them were sent and accepted the nominations, rest went elsewhere...

Secondly - Why do we keep fearing the worst ?? OINP clearly stated that they will accept and process every application for which they have sent PT... OK its taking a LOT longer than what people thought... But eventually they have to clear the backlog.... They will not reject anyone without a proper reason.

And finally - Sales quota is a little different, not every factor is in your control... :)

Venting anger is fine... But lets try and be a little more positive you know... I know its hard but we need to have a little faith :)

We did see OINP flush out 100s of AORs per week in August to clear the backlog... No reason why they cant do the same with nominations also.

Respect your perspectives.

It's perfectly alright to disagree. It would be harmonious " to let negative people be negative and positive be positive"
instead of getting into a futile debate.

Let's stay positive, optimistic and hope for the best outcome.
