You have to follow up about your current request. Call Service Ontario. They will connect you to OHIP. Talk to them. Get their name. Ask them when you can expect a response to your (important and time sensitive) request. They will probably have to call you back. If they say they never received your current request, then send another, and make sure you send it with a tracking number and signature required so you can prove they got it.

If you send another without ever inquiring about your current request, then you are contributing to their backlog without good reason and slowing things down those who come after you.

I got my OHIP request in about 6 weeks, and it was only after I inquired about it.

Service Ontario number is 1-866-532-3161. Please call them.

I received my OHIP report in 3 weeks.

I have a question regarding this:

Are OHIP records mandatory when responding to a RQ?
I have ordered mine, but haven't received them either and am worried that they won't arrive on time.

However, I have requested documents from the doctors I saw that state when I went there for medical services.
These documents cover the same visits the OHiP records would cover and the RQ isn't specifically asking for OHIP, it's only asking for medical records.
Does anyone if this is still accepted?

Why do we need OHIP report...its not asked anywhere in the application

applicant314 ,

OHIP record is part of RQ processing. It is one of the important piece of government issued data. logically your local clinic data should suffice the need but as you know government trust their documents more. in the whole RQ process the most important piece of document is CBSA report, OHIP record and Tax assessments and of course if you have kids then submit their school records.

applicant314:
Send what you have by the deadline. Include a cover letter listing documents which you are still waiting to receive. Send the OHIP records when you get them.

You can't send what you don't have. Do you due diligence, and show the CIC that you've done your due diligence.

Awesome, thanks guys! I will send whatever I have and send the OSAP records once they arrive.
Luckily I don't have to provide CBSA reports as per RQ.

Called them today, looks like they never received my envelope, so I have to send it again one more time.
This time by registered mail with signature required option. thanks guys for all your help.
