Suezy - in your original post -

Now i had my son and daughter with me had to pay cab fare to the airport got there so late almost miss my flight so i could not send in the form i was given to give to immigration on my departure from canada ,so i mail it in to the hamilton cic office with my departure tickets with my explanation letter to show them i leave Canada .the same officer wrote me back in Barbados telling me i have to provide offical prove of my departure although i give her all the prove i have. i really figure she dont like me for some reason. i have no more proof i send everything to her already. please can someone out there help me . is there a way i can return with my son to canada so he can live and raise in his country , doesn't he deserve a life in his country and what can be done about the lies my husband told immigration to influence there decision.

I suggested you have photocopies of the stamp and identification pages notarized and send it along with your boarding pass to this immigration officer. This would be proof that you have left along with the form they requested you document and sign.

If she did not suggest anything to you, this would be a start as they would then be legal documents.

Good Luck.

I agree. They treated my husband like a criminal when he left on his voluntary departure order. I think that's just what they do.

Would you elaborate, please? I have never been hassled entering the US, but I have heard a few horror stories. What is yours, if you care to share it?

Don't really need to. It is a general statement that if you are Canadian you get hasseled going into a different country more than a country you are born in when you are a visitor. Common sense really. It is just as much a privelige to visit the states as it is for anyone to visit Canada not a right. You would expect to be questioned differently than you would if you were a citizen. Some people think it is unfair, but that is life.

It does...I am American and when I come home I get hassled every.stinkin.time. I am always one of those "random" searches...every single time I go through security. How is it random if I am chosen every time? I wish I knew. Even my husband - Canadian - has never experienced such "randomness" when he would come to the U.S. to visit me or when he would go home. Personally I don't think it matters whether you are leaving the U.S. or coming back to the U.S. - ALL those TSA agents are jerks.

I hear you! Every time I have travelled back from Brazil and come through the states I get my bags torn apart...so much for the "random" theory...

It is so true! I remember going to Egypt, man that was an experience going in and out.. not to mention all the other countries!! It is nice to hear someone else say that it is not just Canada!
