Hi everyone, I would appreciate a support with my application. I submitted an application for myself and 6 year old son on October 23rd, and received the AOR on November 07. The last update on my tracker was November 09, and everything has been under progress for over a month.

My questions are : 1- Is it ok for the update to take this long, and what should i expect ?
2- I received a separate AOR for my 7 year old son. Do i need to create a separate tracker for his application as well, or having one tracker is sufficient ?

Thank you so much for the support, and i wish everyone all the very best
Your kids application won't see any progress. It will just complete in the end with yours. You can still create a separate tracker account for your kid. Regarding the speed it's not bad to start worrying as of now.

Its simpler with parent under Subsection 5(2)
If applied independently(Subsection 5(2)) need to fulfil 1095 days requirement

I don't believe this is correct, in fact applied under this status for my child without 1095 days, and processed quickly with no issues:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/application-canadian-citizenship-minors.html

It's under 5(1) (where no parent is a citizen) that the child must meet the 1095 days requirement.

You can apply for your daughter separately when you are a citizen, no residency requirement. So you will just have to wait until she gets her name issue fixed AND you have your citizenship.

From my experience this will be somewhat quicker than applying together with your spouse's citizenship application (because spouse's language, and citizenship tests have to be done, and background checks can take longer for adults).

I meant Section 5(1) on the second line. Mistakenly wrote 5(2)
