Thanks @legalfalcon. But I am PR in Canada and everyone is saying I need to be in Canada for applying spousal sponsorship. Is this true ?
However, after applying it can I exist Canada and live in my home country with my spouse until I get visa for my spouse ? @legalfalcon

I am not sure what you mean by living in your home country. Would you be moving out of Canada for a short while, would it be a change of residency and domicile, if yes, then you cannot.

@legalfalcon I will be staying in my home country along with spouse temporarily and when my spouse gets her visa than I will be moving back to Canada. Also I will be working remotely for Canadian employer. So, can I apply spousal sponsorship in Canada and go back to my home country temporarily for longer duration (lets say 8 or 9 months until my spouse gets her visa)?

A spousal sponsorship application takes 24 months or longer to be processed.

Then you will be living outside of Canada. (9 months is not visiting)

you are simply stating that you will be living and working outside Canada ,and that wont fit the criteria of PR spousal sponsorship .

Hi.all.My application for spousal sponsorship was since March 2021.The only update from Accra VO. was that my application is in process. Up until now Nov 22, everything remains blank.Does anyone have such experience?

Hi Everyone,

Is it possible if we can go to India, get married there and apply for sponsorship from India itself ? I want to live in India with my wife until we get her visa and then want to come back to Canada with her only. So, just want to clear if we can do that ?

Please help me with your suggestions. @legalfalcon
