Anyone else notice the jump in May outland applications being processed? It seems like last week they had just started on April. Maybe this means they've caught up inland and started processing outland quicker?
They’re still working on March Inland

Guys. what can be the reason to get the file returned. I am just afraid that they will open the file in 6 month and send it back for some reason.
I got my document returned after 4 months because of a missing signature. The IRCC checked my document after they received it for 2 months. Then ship it back to me by SURFACE MAIL which took another 2 months to arrive.

Is there a certain method of checking where processing is up to? Or is it just checking current forums and cross referencing approvals to submission months?

I just keep an (obsessive) eye on the tracking spreadsheet, especially the AOR and SA totals near the bottom of the March through May tabs - since those will be our next milestones.

The numbers have been adding up slowly but surely.

You can get a feel for how much the pace has picked up lately - and the fact that the summer months have far less entries than what seems to be "normal" also bodes well.

The spreadsheet is where I keep track as well. Someone from June applications got an AOR1 yesterday. I have my fingers crossed that we are going to see some rapid improvement for outland applications soon.

Yes, it's encouraging that we're even starting to see AOR1's in June. But at the same time, the Decisions Made percentage hasn't budged from 9.5% for January Outland for a couple of weeks now. What are we to make of this?

Good point. I haven't been monitoring 'decisions made', just the AOR timing to see how things are progressing. If I had to guess, there are probably levels of staff that are processing menial tasks like entering forms into the scanner, sending out AOR notices, etc and another set of staff that do background checks, approvals, etc., basically, the entire process could have different groups of staff at different stages. Each stage progresses at different speeds and the next one relies on the one before it, so it all depends on how quick each group gets through their task. It may be worth monitoring the decisions made section of inland to see if there was a dramatic ramp up like we saw on inland AOR processing. That would mean a similar shift later in the calendar year to speed up decisions for outland. Right?

Decisions Made for January-Inland stands at 0%. Not encouraging.

Processing time even before Covid was 12 months. I'm not going to read anything into it until we get closer to the 1 year mark for those applicants. Regardless I like what they are doing now. For Inland they have temp file numbers and for Outland they are in June for AOR. Personally it will take a lot of stress off when I get an AOR as then I'll know the file was received and not rejected. After that waiting will be hard but at least that means the file is being processed. Stay positive everyone.

App received 8 oct.
I had a question, I did not attach all stamped pages of passport. Although I did attach, front and last, the page with my study visa and adjacent page with my first canadian entry and first trip from canada which was on the same page. Basically it leaves 2 to 3 more pages, which are stamped by other county vissa arrival and departures. Do i need to send the passport copy again?? I didnt know that we needed all pages from it.

Also, I think I wrote na on my country-specific requirements for India on the document checklist. It had adopted papers requirements and birth certificate. Adoption didnt apply in my case and I did attach my birth certificate, but i wrote na in main checklist. I realized it after i sent it. Is it gonna make my application incomplete or get it returned? I did attach the doc but wrote na on the checklist. I am stupid.

I dont want to wait for 6 months and get it back. I am thinking of sending updated pages of above things with webform but when should i call to get the temp file num. ? It was received just few weeks ago.
