Due to Covid-19 we have limited processing capability. We are currently prioritizing Afghan applications.

Hi everyone,

It's great. Congratulations.

Saw JT election campaign where he asked people to text him about their concern so he can look on it. Also shared his own number - (613) 777 2039. Do you think we people also text him about our pending files or will is be a ridiculous idea.
Rotfl.. Anywhere, everywhere, politicians are the same. Bloody liars! Let them keep pretending they don't see all the reactions from outlanders all over the media -Facebook, Twitter, CanadaVisa, Nairaland and what have you.. Can't stop laughing at this new chapter of deceit from JT while waiting for MM's next gimmicks.

Hello, so it seems my rant yesterday and more abrupt but still civil web form actually produced a response from my Pretoria VO today.

So in short, they understand my difficult situation due to long wait but they cannot commit on any definite date for a decision to be taken on the analysis of my dossier. So my file is in the queue for officer review.

Then they wrote a whole paragraph how covid in south africa is bad which explains their lateness in replying to webforms and inability to provide regular updates on applications.

Well.. takeway - whether I want or not , will somehow need to develop more patience until my file " finally" reaches his majesty the Officer
Lol at "his majesty the officer".. So much trolls on this site I can handle. Look at what IRCC have turned us all into.

I often wonder, for you already living inland, what is so different for you? I imagine you have a temporary work permit and can work pending when your PR finally lands? maybe I'm ignorant about how things are, but the situation of inlanders can be as bad as those that are yet to even enter Canada, can it?
I am on Visitor record now, if I have work permit now, I won’t be feeling so bad

Yes, it is definitely worst. We are still temporarily here. Work permit cost money. 1 year permit cost same as 3 years. Work permit only allows you to work but no other benefits. We can't travel on work permit. We have to apply fot visa and that's another cost. Some people can't leave or change jobs.
