@legalfalcon hi. My meds expire in September & I’m thinking to do one ahead on or before it expires. Will I be complicating things if I did my remed days before it expires? I heard sometimes an expired or about to expire med might delay PPR issuance

See #13,190

Getting a re-med will not delay the processing.

Thank you. So it might not be a bad idea to go ahead & do my re-med before it expires?

It is not required unless aksed by IRCC, but if you want to get it done, it is entirely your choice.

I dont think they filter applications out by country of residence. If borders open then people can fly indirectly as well, its dependent on them deciding when to start clearing the backlog
Yeah that's what prioritizing applications exempt from travel restrictions would mean. I'm sure countries like India and Pakistan would be the last to be processed because of restrictions. In USA the delta variant is spreading like crazy and it has already impacted NYSE. I think Canada is learning by watching others and not jumping the gun which is quite smart. I have seen movement in American applications because the borders here might open sooner.

Canada Opening announced by PM:
Recent Tweet of Justin Trudeau:

Update: As of September 7th, fully-vaccinated people from any country can come into Canada for non-essential travel. As a first step, fully-vaccinated Americans can do the same starting August 9th. At every step, the safety of Canadians will continue to be our top priority.

Hi, Can you please clarify a few things? Does PR applications come under non-essential? or does it come under the category that are going to be allowed from Aug 9th? (apart from US citizens). Basically I'm asking whether FSW O files will be touched or not before September 7th because of this new announcement.

FSW(O) (UAE)
AOR = 28th October
ADR = 3rd December(IMM5406)
MEP/BIL = 4th December

Hi, I need advice regarding updating my address. As I will be changing my country of residence very soon, so I can update address for both me and my wife in same webform or I have to write separate webform.
Thanks

Hi FSW-O people (especially from India), The flight ban from India to Canada has been extended till August 21st.

My doubt is, will this affect our application processing? (Like they wouldn't consider processing our application before Aug 21?)

Well i don't think it matters. There are processing delays for all Fsw applicants including inland applications. Priority is given for CEC's. I am an inland fsw applicant and my application is stuck for almost 9 months now.
