I didn't receive that update email (AOR Oct 30) but it looks normal to me as CIC has been doing that for awaiting applications.
 
I think it's probably a system glitch. Probably related to the reason the site is currently down
 
The IRCC website seems to be acting up and is totally unable to provide any updates since we can't go in any applications. I got the emails for very very old applications as well, like visitor visa back in 2017 and work permit that has already been approved.

Getting back to business though:

Still no updates at all on MEP or BIL. Exams were upfront and I provided biometrics back in Aug 2019.
 
BAD gate way 502. I can see that my action is required, and message new. but I just cannot click-in that check my full application status bar.

What is the application number that we are suppose to include in the appointment details?
It says " You can find the application number on the upper right hand corner of your biometrics instruction letter".
I do not have this letter yet, but I would like to schedule the appointment, is this number the same as the application?
