October 5th AOR here. No update since. VAC in my country just opened yesterday and they are making an appointment for Biometrics. However, they only open the slots on god knows when and the slots are getting booked extremely fast as soo many ppl were waiting for VFS to resume. I got an appointment for biometrics on 6th December. How optimistic is it to get BIL by 6th December depending on the current trend?

How were you able to book the appointment before getting Biometric letter ? I think in order to book the appointment you need to provide reference number which you will get along with BIL. Please let me know otherwise , I will also book the slot if that is possible.

Back in early 2019 , from India I do recollect the biometric slot is booked through VFS website through a different login. During the process there wasn't any prompt for reference number.

You can book biometric appointment without BIL.

Hi @legalfalcon

I see some post on other forums which states that "Biometrics already on File" and RCMP Requested. Are they two different things.
I do have my Biometrics valid but I'm not sure about RCMP. Can I proactively check or apply for that.

Thanks

If you are an inland applicant or have lived in Canada, you may be asked for a RCMP PCC. "Biometrics already on File" refers to when your biometrics are on file or you re exempt form biometrics and your previous biometrics are taken into account.

@legalfalcon

just called cic to verify my phone no. and email id they have in record. I verify it so that service canada to call me on correct phone for booking biometrics and email id verify so that in case cic send any correspondence like AOR, etc., Also asked for application update, she said the eligibility not started yet, but criminality, security, background in progress. is it possible for security to be in progress before eligibility?

Highly unlikely, but the BGC may be in progress. BGC = Criminality + Security + info sharing.

Security screening usually only starts after Eligibility has been passed by an officer

I am guessing her background check says "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." which is False IP2. I think IRCC just quoted what was available on her profile. Might be wrong.

Omg, someone with AOR Oct 14 already passed MEP and BIL. T_T
Anyone like me,AOR Oct 1 , but no updates?

Most people who are getting it are either Inland, CEC or PNP. FSW OUTLANDS, I think IRCC has forgotten them. According to the tracker, looks like they have reached around September 30th for MEP BIL.
