Hi All,
I have a few questions. I got my ITA on Oct 14 and I have actually taken services from the consultancy. Now, they told me that if I get my account linked with the IRCC agent, I will lose the access to the account, but they'd still send the updates and screenshots every week to me. But, I'd really like the access to my account because I am sure I will want to check the status of my account every single day. Should I take their services or should I keep the account unlinked? Any thoughts?
Also, since all the VACs have been closed in India since March, none of the applications from march would have passed security/background check right? Does that mean we are all in for a long wait? Even if the VACs open, we will be in a very long queue for the Biometrics and even after giving them the biometrics after such long wait, they would take even longer for verification, etc. I know I sound pessimistic, but wanna keep my hopes realistic. Any thoughts?

Upfront medicals
Any Progress? In case of upfront medical, will the status changed to Medical Pass?

I got my note this morning. On the 2nd page, the assessment section, it showed Eligibility: PASSED. I am not sure if I am right.
The note is 119 pages. My AOE was Oct 5 2020, I requested my note later on Oct 8 2020. It's kind of too early.
The note dated OCt-18-2020, it does not contain a lot of relevant information.

My AOR - 10 OCT, PNP Outland
No update on medicals yet
But today when I logged in, my status changed from Submitted to "Application Updated" but no updates in my profile actually. Later after few hours it again changed back to Submitted. Is it normal?

Really? Your eligibility already says Passed? Have you passed your medicals?

@legalfalcon
My passport is expiring on May 28th, 2021
and my work visa is also expiring on May 28th, 2021.

Should I renew my passport?
Should I update my PR application via web form? [will this cause any issues or delay?]
When can I apply for bridge work permit?
Thanks.

Yes you should renew your PP and when you get the new one sent it via CSE. Updating your application with. new passport does not delay your GCMS notes.

To be eligible for a BOWP, foreign nationals must

  • be currently in Canada
  • have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within the next 4 months
  • be the principal applicant on an APR under the FSWC, the CEC, the FSTC, the PNC (see note below), the AFP or 1 of the 2 caregiver classes (submitted before June 18, 2019)
  • have completed one of the following APR stages:
    • electronic application for permanent residence (e-APR) submitted under Express Entry has passed the section 10 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) completeness check; or
    • receipt of a positive eligibility assessment on their paper APR submitted by mail under one of the economic classes above
  • have applied for an open work permit
  • have paid the work permit processing fee and the open work permit holder fee
  • have provided, as applicable, evidence that their provincial nomination is unrestricted (for example, nomination certificate)
