Yes you should renew your PP and when you get the new one sent it via CSE. Updating your application with. new passport does not delay your GCMS notes.

To be eligible for a BOWP, foreign nationals must

• be currently in Canada
• have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within the next 4 months
• be the principal applicant on an APR under the FSWC, the CEC, the FSTC, the PNC (see note below), the AFP or 1 of the 2 caregiver classes (submitted before June 18, 2019)
• have completed one of the following APR stages:
  • electronic application for permanent residence (e-APR) submitted under Express Entry has passed the section 10 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) completeness check; or
  • receipt of a positive eligibility assessment on their paper APR submitted by mail under one of the economic classes above
• have applied for an open work permit
• have paid the work permit processing fee and the open work permit holder fee
• have provided, as applicable, evidence that their provincial nomination is unrestricted (for example, nomination certificate)

Not yet, thou.
They are processing up to Sep 29 applications now. You can see on the tracker. I think next week will have some updates from Oct 1 and 2 applicants.

I got MEP on Nov 5; AOR is Oct 2.

OK, it makes sense. I have seen the trend that IRCC is processing the FSW application a little quicker than CEC.

yeah, I just wanted to test how GCMS works. I applied on Oct 8, 3 days after AOR. My note dated as Oct 18. I received it by Nov 9 2020. Roughly 30days

Thanks for the update. Though I found lots of FSW - O applicants with AOR before 1st October are yet to get the MEP / BIL updates. Wondering they might have prioritize your case due to PNP category.

Even on tracker I see the latest FSW - O candidate got the MEP / BIL has AOR of 26th Spt. 2020.
