I have a friend (July 2019 applicant) who faced delay in receiving CSQ...he had to wait around 2 months to get CSQ....
What does it delay? Like what stage? the decision making?
I'm just curious to know if IRCC pauses the application till they get the CSQ and on what stage.

Got the biometrics request and medical letters a few days after AOR1. Scheduling medical locally a pain but there it is.

Finally was able to get into GCKey - for whatever reason, still haven't been able to get ECAS. Is there any reason to try to get into ECAS if GCKey access working? Any information that would differ between them?

Another question or oddity: GCKey shows that PA and dependents have valid biometrics (from previous recent visits home) and biometrics section in GCKey shows "We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes." We are not going to cancel biometrics appointment and just go ahead, or at least as long as it's not going to make the process longer. (We already paid the biometrics fee to avoid any potential delays)

Other than that, all seems in order - says we do not need interview and no more documents needed (at this point). It also says "processing" background check, sure hope that's true, that seems like the biggest risk of delay.
hi
you must write sponsor`s info. maybe problem with Russia if sponsor born in USSR but now it`s Russia. in ECAS you must write USSR (place of birth)

Not the case for sponsor but I've tried every variation I can think of PA, sponsor, etc., and still no luck.

But now that I'm in GCKey and have successfully linked, I'm not sure that I need to get in to ECAS at all.

My application was recieved on Oct 21, still no AOR. I am not able to see status from ECAS even :( Am I doing anything wrong while using ECAS? It is sponsor info we fill in, I guess . Please let me know your views .
Don't worry about it - I had to wait 53 days for my AOR (Oct 1 to Nov 23)! They need to check all of your documents, and sometimes it takes a long time! We submitted quite a few documents to support the sponsorship application, so it probably took them some extra time to go through. Everyone submits a different amount of 'stuff', and you have no way of knowing how you compare to others, so try not to make that comparison! Each case and application is different. And you're still well within normal processing times - as I said I had to wait 53 days! It'll come :)

For my friend, here is the flow so far:
AOR --> SA --> moved to CPC-mississauga --> biometric in system updated with his previous TRV visa --> waited for CSQ for long time --> once he received CSQ, got a medical request

Any October 18 applicants, got their SA yet?
Hi I am an Oct 18 applicant, I received an email from cic yesterday saying "Your application has been updated. Please sign in to your account and check your application status and messages for more information." When I signed in neither there is a message and nor there seems to be any changes in any status. Should I assume that the email was about getting SA. Please help.

Hi, I noticed on the spreadsheet that applicants get notified of passing the medical exam. What circumstances renders a failed exam?
