Out of curiosity, which one of them is your office?
I believe it is Surrey now. I was in MTL before. I moved to Vancouver almost a year ago. I notified IRCC of my new address as soon as I moved, but the file stayed there for a super long time (forgotten in some dark corners of the IRCC's system). When I got test invite it was still MTL office, and my first passport request came from them too in August of this year. I assume they then transferred my file since I got the exact same request from the Surrey office a few weeks later, and the request for additional evidence on my travels also came from Surrey last week. Since I live in Vancouver, I think it's safe to assume it will be Surrey until the end.

If you cannot come to take the oath, then you will need to inform them that (currently, since you haven't received the invitation email, you can use webform), in which case you will be rescheduled.

Ask IRCC to see if you can the the Oath oversea... a friend of mine did citizenship test oversea.

Bummer.That's just bad timing.
The email you get from CIC will have an email associated with it. Please reach out to them to reschedule. If this is any consolation, I know someone who had to do it and they got their date within 6 weeks. In your case, if you let them know when you will be back, they will fit you in then.

If possible, plan a quick trip back to Canada. Its better to get over it, instead of postponing it. You have almost 12 days to plan your trip. I know it's a bit waste of money, but it will give peace of mind. :) All the best and good luck!

And also remember, if you plan to attended Oath in Canada, they will ask to cut your PR card. So plan accordingly to get your Canadian passport before you travel back to India.

Anyone from Vancouver has received oath ceremony updates?
I've been waiting since August for it. Everything else shows up as Completed.

That's a good point. You have to cut up your PR card.

Once the ceremony is over, you have to wait 2-4 weeks to get your citizenship certificate and only after that can you apply for your Canadian Passport.

You will also have to return your indian passport to the consulate and then apply fo an OCI card or something similar to it. (EDITED)

Others have gotten their passport within 2 weeks so maybe you can plan accordingly.

All of this can take anywhere between 4-12 weeks in my opinion.
I have received my Certificate of citizenship in 4 working days. Im in surrey and went to service canada next day early in the morning 5:30 i was first in the walk In line and office opens at 8:30 i was free in 5 mins. I have been told i will get my passport in 10 business days. I wanted to pay urgent fee but since i told my travel date is unknown officer said dont pay extra when you will be receiving it in 10 days.

Your local office email address is in the citizenship test PDF. I just realized it last night. And our local office only reply to applications that were sent over 2 years ago. Give it a try, guys! Local office is very responsive!
I couldnt find any email ID for my local office in citizenship pdf. Does anyone have email ID of Mississauga or Scarborough office?
