hi, i checked the application status and its "in process". I was just wondering if medical is required and if it fits in the timeline since its been more than a year that i have recd the AOR

There is no medical required. There was about 6 months they stopped working and they just started the online citizenship test in December. Be patient and I'm sure you will receive a test request in the next 2 or 3 months if not sooner.

This is the pandemic reality, unfortunately. If they need anything from you, they will let you know. It doesn’t seem to be any reason for concern. But, as I usually say, if you are not confident, call IRCC.

You can agree or disagree, but the mere fact is that tests are not conducted at the pace they were advertised back on Nov 26 with 5 thousand online tests promised by the end of 2020 for those already scheduled back in March as well as urgent ones. I merely don't see any GTA or Toronto ones. Whatever the reason is they (IRCC) are again proving their ability to promise and inability to deliver.
My wife was scheduled for test on March 31, 2020 and never been called again for testing again before end of 2020 after the first one was canceled.

I think it is by far too long for anything . I see people after me applied and has got their test invites. Discrimination everywhere
I applied in March 2019 and still waiting for test invite. It is more to do with procrssing office than discrimination. Which area office is handling your application?

Just finished my Online Citizenship Test! I unofficially got 19/20. Good luck and thank you everyone!! :)

I studied from the below links, i recommend everyone preparing for the test to read the Discover Canada study guide a couple of times minimum before the test.

Discover Canada Study Guide:
https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/pub/discover.pdf

Practice Test:
https://citizenshiptests.org/tests/canadian-citizenship-test/

Android Apps i used for practice:
Canadian Citizenship Practice Test
Canadian Citizenship Test 2021
Canadian Citizenship Test 2020

Congratulations and thanks for these links!

Now, how similar did you find the practice with the actual test?

In this case, I don't think it is discrimination but couple IRCC Officers not doing efficient work.
I agree. Rest of the world found means to run the show like work from home. Most businesses have resumed pretty much like it was before the pandemic, however IRC appears to have stopped work altogether. God knows what they are upto.

Citizenship application - Family
Toronto, ON
Physical Presence: 1097 days
Application sent: Oct 23, 2019
Application recd: Oct 29, 2019
AOR: Jan 23, 2020

Just have a very basic Q (that might have been answered already), i havent recd any communication from IRCC after the AOR. Is that a concern?

Added.

I'm impatiently waiting for that decision made. Just to update I wrote my online test January 2. I have been informed that my file is in Winnipeg, so I'm just awaiting that decision made/oath ceremony. However, my ECAS last update is still sitting at *In Process* as of January 22. I was hoping to at least see some movement on ECAS, but from witnessing others' experiences with citizenship/family sponsorship ECAS is really unreliable as a tracker.

Congratulations and thanks for these links!

Thank you @Rondee :)

Unfortunately i can not tell anyone much about the actual test, due to the agreed terms and conditions i had to accept to be able to take the test. I'd like to stress the importance of reading the Discover Canada Study Guide, because you cannot completely rely on the practice tests.
