Hi I got an invitation to the test and it will be on March 11. I am studying and all.
Today I received a letter with a fingerprint request. Is this normal?
Thanks

This is the first time I am hearing it, however it could be just the timing. My understanding is : Various processes run at the same time, including tests. It would perhaps been like, a testing process completed earlier than the criminal background check. Just do finger prints today so by the time you go for citizenship test, the fingerprint results would almost be on their way to the IRCC office.

Please verify the request from the ECAS.

If I were you, I will verify the email request from ECAS, If its mentioned there, I will do the Fingerprints and do the test.

Test is only issued when most of checks are cleared. Looks like something triggered.

Just be calm and proactive. You are almost there

If I am not mistaken, if you check some older posts on this thread (or other threads, I don't remember), you'll see some people reporting the same.

Hi Guys,

I finished my test today. It was moderately easy but some were really deceiving. Anyhow got 20/20.

Decision is made today itself. My ceremony is tomorrow.

Finally finishing the marathon process of becoming citizen. Thanks everyone on this thread who helped me finish the process.

Congrats!! That was quick! Did you travel outside Canada during your eligibility period? I just want to understand whether travel outside can slow the application process.

It's on ecas...
"We sent you correspondence on February 24, 2020. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required. "

I will do that! It's probably what @adey786 said, processes run at the same time.

Finished test and interview yesterday. I'd like to talk about the interview for you guys who are waiting for the test and interview.
My location is in Moose Jaw, SK near Regina but my test location was in Saskatoon.
Test was easy but some tricky questions. I recommend you to read the Discover Canada more than 3 times.
My interviewer checked my ID and original support documents especially entry and exit stamps in my passport.
Some countries that I visited don't have the stamps so I printed out all the flight Itineraries.
The interviewer took my copies and it took only 5mins because of that.
She mentioned that my ceremony location will be in Regina and expected in May.
My journey is almost done. Hope you guys too soon. Cheers!

Just did my test and interview today at the Scarborough office. Passed 20/20 and was asked to do my oath tomorrow. Hang in there guys. We’ll all be done soon! :)

Congrats guys! Those who passed the test, any recommendation for online practice test?
Thank you so much!
