Hello everyone,

I am helping a friend with his citizenship application.

the application was submitted in October 2019 and was returned to him today.

what should he do?
Submit a brand new application or correct the mistake and submit the same one?
Is there a specific procedure for returned applications?

Now this means that the application is complete. Does not mean we will be called for the citizenship test. Am i right?

During PR processing, we have a process to get the status and detailed notes of your file from the CIC. Is the same process possible for even citizenship application files?

Congratulations !!

This is just the first step in the process post submission. This is just an acknowledgement, that they have received your application properly filled.
The next step will be your application moving to "in Process" status. This you can check in the ecas portal. (Link Below). you can use the UCI number or the application number to check status. Typically it take 12 to 24 hrs post AOR for you application be visible in the portal.
Post that is test invite and so forth... in some cases, certain few applicants also get fingerprint requests.
