Hi All,
Would appreciate if someone can share their experience and feed on the following:
I received finger print request and submitted it today. Any idea how long it will take to reach CIC office?
Is the fingerprint request first step in the application processing or last step?
I received the fingerprint request from Vancouver office but I live in Toronto, now further communication will be done from Vancouver office or any of the local office in Toronto (test invite and interview)?

Congrats ..how was the interview ? Did they verified the documents outside the 5 year period ?
Interview contents are confidential so it's not the best to reveal what happened. But before COVID it's mostly just identity/documents verifications, I believe it should be similar now.
You are right . I just wanted to confirm that do they verify old documents and not the content as such. Just curious ..
Yes , I have the test during that period only.Seems like Scarborough is currently handling those who completed the test by early-mid Feb. I think I'll hear something soon (hopefully)
Hi! I’ll share my experience
FP is not the first nor the last step. Some people get the request at different stages, some people never get it. If I’m not mistaken, some people got it after they completed the test (not sure though). Mine was before, waaaay before since it was before the pandemic and everyone knows what happened after March. I think getting it before the test is the most common, but can’t assure that.
I believe it’s about 2 weeks for IRCC to get your FP, if my memory is not failing me.
My request came from Vancouver, too. No, it doesn’t mean they are handling your application.
Have in mind you won’t be notified when they get the FP. If you wanna know for sure, you can call them and they will let you know.
