Congratulations on such a quick application. Looks like I’m about a week behind once I get all the requested docs in.

So what’s the next step? PPR?

Yea I think PPR is next. Although from what I read, the email could take days-weeks. Just like how my SA email took 10 days. But hopefully it will come sooner than that.
And yea I remember we had similar timelines. So most likely you will be next!

Congrats on your quick application process! Stay blessed.

Do you think the process times are different according to the respective nationality of the principal applicant?

After reading the posts on this forum for some time you can come to that conclusion.
Maybe CIC has more resources on hand for specific countries?
Just look at the numbers......Google is your friend.

I honestly don't know.
I think the factors that may have POSSIBLY contributed to the speedy process is the fact that our application is very straightforward. No previous marriage, no dependants, Sponsor is in Canada, we had a complete application (they didn't ask for any other documents aside from medical exam), we followed the checklist and country specific requirements, we are in our early 20s so not much happened in our life yet lol

But then again, no one really knows how they process these applications, so I don't know

I sent my wifes application on Oct 17, but have had no response whatsoever, no AOR etc...should I contact them? Starting to get anxious.

Well, most people have a similar profile as yours, yet no AOR1 till now.
A few November applicants started getting their AOR1 and they are mainly from two countries. The same two countries that got their AOR1 in december after applying mid- or late-October.
So clearly, CIC has more resources to treat these specific countries applications.

I don't have high expectations in my case, my first AOR will probably arrive early-february, which will mark a 4 months wait (very different from the 6-8weeks written in their website)
