I'm reading few times the word "ECAS", what is that? I sent the application and was received on October 01 st, and no news from them since.

ECAS stands from Electronic Client Application Status. This on-line service allows Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) clients to view securely the status of their immigration and/or citizenship application(s) on-line, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; anytime, anywhere.

LMAO OBO was an official Bulletin for Officers and if you search in this forum I am dead sure you will get it when they introduced it , why etc...Its in my head as I read it here; a name for that WORK SHARING PLAN; a bulletin as already clearly written on IRCC that your application can be processed anywhere in the world Cheers

Another question

I have been getting so much conflicting information about getting my documents sealed.

I took my documents to get a quote on the cost of translation, I know I have to get them legalized with a seal but they advised it also has to be apositlled. Is that accurate?

Also I have a copy of an official contract for the apartment we are renting I am sending the original translated, does this need to be sealed as well? Also the copies of our foreign ID cards?

Please help!!!

Wow! My situation is the exact same! Our app was received on October 5th and he is from the UK. We are also living apart while we have to wait for this process. We have also not hear anything back. Many people throughout October are starting to receive AORs. So I am starting to get a bit worried. However, I guess there are still a lot to not have received anything yet.

Hey guys! I got my AOR about an hour ago! After my happy crying session, I noticed they spelled my middle name wrong in the AOR (they added an extra letter, I made this mistake on a single page of our application but amended it of course). Who do I contact about this? I tried to call the toll-free number mentioned on the AOR, but there was no key option for that kind of circumstance. Should I be worried?

Acknowledgment of Receipt - Family Class Sponsorship Application / Accusé de réception - Demande de parrainage d'un membre de la catégorie du regroupement familial F000xxx etc

I’d thdi the AOR1 ?
They received my application on October 01-2018.

The letter is in French but that’s probably i chosed that in the application.

I read somewhere in a thread about the file number starting with an F or X. Can’t remember the explanation.

I just received what I think is the AOR1 email. It has an F and U numbers.
Will I need now to use the ECAS system to track my application ?

Hi, in our case, we never got an email that had log in instructions or anything.
Since you now have an application number/UCI, you can link your application to an online GCkey account.
