I agree. Take the test then call CIC after to get your file transferred for oath.

Are there anyone who got FP request and did before/on Feb 20th and still haven't heard anything yet?
It has been over a month and still nothing has reached me yet. I've talked to the IRCC agents twice and they said all is received and I just have to wait for the upcoming test. I applied from Calgary but I moved/changed my address to Canmore, AB (which is an hour drive).

Same situation here, i am from saskatoon and still waiting for citizenship test...IRCC agents said they already received it.

I have a question:
I have citizenship test scheduled for 17th April and I have to travel to USA by air on 28th.
As far as I know, they will keep my PR card after clearing the test and interview same day. Travelling back to Canada will become a problem without PR cards.
Can anybody advise how to deal with this situation?

They do not retain any documents including PR card from the interview. You should be good.
-Quoting from personal experience.
However, they will retain it at citizenship ceremony - Yet to appear.
