In process December 20, 2018

And FYI for the people who requested name change: I was accessing ECAs with my maiden (original name) and then it just stopped working two days ago. I tried my new last name and then I discovered it was In Process. It's nice to see that they have updated it (and apparently reviewed the whole application)
Did you apply for name change during application? What documents did you provide to support name change ?

I had a case to split my name as my original passport didnt have it correctly split. But after I changed my passport to reflect correct name split and provide new passport copy as a supporting document. Didnt have any affidavit or legal name change doc for me .

Hi Group, I am getting FBI clearance certificate from US for my citizenship application. Since now the FBI clearance certificate is available online. does anyone know, if I can download/print the certificate and send with the application or I have to get an original with mail from FBI?

I had the name change 3 years ago, so it wasn't during application. However, my passport and PR card still had the old name. I provided the Name Change certificate as well as my BC drivers license that has the new name

Mine says these in the tracking system:
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 3, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 17, 2018
Does this mean I am still in the AOR not in process? :( I seen people who applied later have received the "in process" status; just wondering

Dear Royal Dee and other Senior members if the Forum.

Congratulations for getting AOR and wish process of citizenship speedily. Since I am to submit application for citizenship, will you please confirm whether you have also sent CIT177 for residence outside of canada. I have prepared physical presence calculator which I will attach with application. Kindly help me in removing my doubt about CIT177 as to whether you have also submitted the same or it is not required. I am no where related to crown servant. Regards

Hi All,

I sent my first application in August but it was returned because I forgot to include my children's birth certificates. I sent the package again in October and considering an average of 280 days to complete the process, I will probably have my citizenship by the end of July.
The problem is our PR cards expire June 3rd. If I'm not planning to leave the country during this two months, do I have to renew my PR cards? I'd rather save the $200.

Thank you and happy holidays.
