I have called to CIC and they have update the status of my application. The agent said my background check is on process but eligibility hasn't start yet. My AOR 4 Oct and MED passed Nov 1st.

what is your stream FSWO India? Single applicant?

And if I consider my completion date of mid May instead of the designated April 10th - I presume I will start to see some movement or update in my file after end of March. They will continue to sit on my file until the 6 month mark nears and then suddenly - in 3 - 4 weeks time there will be DM (decision made)

I don't think 6 months is the AVERAGE time anymore.

Yes! I happened to talk to a CIC agent last week , and she already mentioned that profile has been pushed to May 21st for completion where in my progress bar reflects April 11th. If 6 months is the average time, we would have been moved to IP2 by now.

Nope! Nothing has started yet, only done with medicals and this is frustrating!!

"Ghost update" is one when you receive an email stating that there is an update in your account, however, there is no change in any status or in the application when you log into the system. Hope that helps.

Good day mate and I can understand your frustration on this waiting stuff ..likewise me too.. ...sorry what's your timeline ...has anyone be passed or under review ? I'm aor Oct 12th ...was told by an agent when I called last week Wednesday that i have passed medical and criminality ...said eligibility and security hasn't started ..am optimistic if my estimated completion date of April 12th is still fixable ?what do u think ?

Yeah, I thought the same about my application too, when I received a very vague response on my CSE. Agent didn't mention whether eligibility passed or met or what, or BG check started or not. So I assumed these people haven't done any work on my file. And all of us single applicants who haven't had any update since MEDs Passed, stuck at IP1 - I am sure nothing has started at all. My expected completion date is April 10th - now based on your info. and my earlier assumption, I guess my application will be pushed to mid May.
I ordered GCMS notes on 29th Jan - now I am thinking that will go to waste as nothing has started at all.

I have also ordered for GCMS notes but pretty sure it will not be helpful at all. I was expecting to get my PPR by April, This kind of sucks how they are dealing with our applications.

Definitely 6 months is not average time anymore. Big question is how are they going to deal with future applications now when they keep inviting more and more people in the draws? They seriously have huge backlogs

Yesterday I got the chance to call CIC and the agent was really very good, however he told me that my application is in London and I have to contact them. I asked him if he can tell me about eligibility.. he said he can't see anything. Is it really true? and how can we contact London VO?

Yes that’s true... when application is outside Canada .. call centre agents can’t access the case info... you need to contact LVO via email

No news after RPRF request in mid November...
got email reply a week back that background check is not started

Hello mate,
My AOR is OCT 10th FSW-O India, MEDs Passed on 9th NOV and still in IP1 - background check hasn't started. And I guess even eligibility hasn't started either because I asked about eligibility status by raising a CSE and got a generic response - which implies nothing has started for me yet - like most of Indian single residents.

Good to know your criminality is passed - you might get it well within your 6 months time frame hopefully.

Stuck in IP1 since December 4 lol.

When I raised a CSE they said, my eligibility is being verified but when I called IRCC the agent said nothing has started yet and they have pushed it to June 11, 2019

I don't know what to believe in anymore
