Do you know if that is the case even if you are from a visa exempt country (ie UK in my case) and living in one that wouldn't be exempt? Thanks!
Your nationality is what matters. If you are a British Citizen then you do not require a visa. The visa office processing your file will be aware of this and you shouldn't have to send in your passport for final processing. Sometimes, however, they do request a copy of the biographical info page be sent to them.

Upon receiving the passport request, how many days do they usually give us to submit it?
The thing is: I'm an October applicant who has already submitted Schedule A, police certificate and passed the medical exam. I haven't heard from them since December, when my file was transferred to São Paulo VO. I've got holiday in June and I was planning to visit my husband then (with my visitor visa, which is still valid), but I'm not sure if there would be enough time to return to Brazil if they requested my passport while I'm in Canada.
We had 15 days to submit. If youre in canada and have no dependents on app you can send your passport from within canada to ottawa

Thank you for your reply!
Even if my case is beeing processed outside Canada I can send it to Ottawa? I thought I would have to return to my country.

hello guys,

Just a quick a few questions about outland application.

Principal Applicant: Living in UAE

Can the Sponsor submit their application package here from Canada?
if yes, what should be the address be inputed on the courier? sponsor or principal applicants address?

really have no idea.

Thank you

We just received my husband's Passport request today. Did you have to send stuff back to Mississagua before getting PPR?

Hey that's great!! Congratulations! No, I didn't have to send anything back to Mississauga. Did you guys?

Sorry I meant to say to Ottawa. I got clarification in another post, but was confused about having to send on more photos and another passport copy, without having DM first. Didn't know if this was PPR or pre-arrival or what. Seemed out of sequence but no complaints here!!

Everything is sent off and should arrive in Ottawa on Thurs!!

Hello everyone! Can someone help me? I just got this letter requesting our passports, 2 photos, request for a "letter outlining the height and eye colour for each member of your accompanying family members"...can anyone tell me, is this PPR?? If so, after the embassy receives this, how long do they give us for us to enter Canada? We live in Portugal, I am the sponsor.

Yes, it's PPR. Your COPR will have a date by which you must land on and it tends to coincide with the medical expiry.
