Test invite March 1
Test date March 14
you can postpone a test due to pre-arranged travel. you will have to write a letter requesting to postpone along with proof of your travel - iteneary boarding pass etc etc. there is a time-limit, it is 30 days(i think) after the test date within which you have to request to reschedule.Has anyone asked to postpone their test? I am currently traveling outside Canada and thinking of asking to postpone the test. Any suggestions / feedback?

Updated. Congrats!!Received oath letter on march 5th
Citizenship ceremony is march 20
How come you received the oath letter on the same day as your test date? As far as I know it usually takes at least a few days to get the oath invite. Please update the spreadsheet (October 2017) Row 411
Test Invite: 21st Feb 2018
Test Date: 6th March 2018 (scored 19/20)
Decision Made and Oath Letter Date: 6th March 2018
Oath: 26th March 2018
I would also to thank you all for your assistance and support during the process.
I have to say, the whole process went very smoothly and lot faster than I expected
I am wondering about this also. I am traveling and need to postpone my ceremony. Have you gone through this process and does it cause any problems to the application if I request a reschedule on the oath ceremony?you can postpone a test due to pre-arranged travel. you will have to write a letter requesting to postpone along with proof of your travel - iteneary boarding pass etc etc. there is a time-limit, it is 30 days(i think) after the test date within which you have to request to reschedule.
It adds about 4-8 weeks to the processing time.
