you can postpone a test due to pre-arranged travel. you will have to write a letter requesting to postpone along with proof of your travel - iteneary boarding pass etc etc. there is a time-limit, it is 30 days(i think) after the test date within which you have to request to reschedule.

It adds about 4-8 weeks to the processing time.

How come you received the oath letter on the same day as your test date? As far as I know it usually takes at least a few days to get the oath invite.

I am wondering about this also. I am traveling and need to postpone my ceremony. Have you gone through this process and does it cause any problems to the application if I request a reschedule on the oath ceremony?
