Same status for us, no changes for several weeks. App delivered Oct 31st. Transferred to Ottawa VO after SA.

ECAS:
We received your application for permanent residence on November 10, 2016. (36 days ago)
We started processing your application on November 25, 2016. (3 weeks ago)
Medical results have been received.

CIC Account:
Application/profile status: Open
Review of eligibility: Review in Progress
Review of medical results: Passed
Review of submitted documents (empty)
Scheduling an interview: Not needed at this time
A background check is needed: Not Started
Final decision: Not Started

And again no sa yet ??? So worried
I can't understand what is wrong!
App filled 17 oct
App recived 18 oct
AOR1 4 nov
Medical passed 4 nov
No sa!
I called them and a lady told me that just wait☹️
How long does it take to get sa?

Hey guys! I see that some of you had updates about your medicals exams, I also took my exams upfront but my ecas still looks like it:

Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on October 5, 2016.
We started processing your application on November 14, 2016.

Nothing on my CIC account either. Any ideas why it's taking so long? Maybe it's just the official responsible for my app being slow...? Thank you!

I am hoping that we all hear something by January, because September Applicants are getting response this month...At least that's what i've been seeing so far.

That's true, I hope you're right!

Question - online ecas shows that our application was received in Sao Paulo (weeks ago now), but my husband never received an email or a letter confirming AOR2. Is this a point of concern, or have many others not received the letter but seen it updated online? I was wondering if we should contact them to ensure they have the correct email and mailing addresses for him (though the mailing address on ecas is correct and the email address we submitted was correct...)

I received my AOR on November 23, and my Husband Received his AOR2 on December 8. So he got his about 15 days later... not sure if this helps you... but I would give it another 3-5 days before reaching out to CIC

Hello Everyone,
Just checked MyCIC. Now Background check is in progress. I am assuming that is the last thing before issuing ppr? Am I correct? And does anyone know how long Background check will take?

Hi to all,

I wasn't able to add my application to my account, but I'm able to view it by going through Check my application status. Is it normal that it can't be added on my personal account yet?

Thanks

Hello! I've been in background check for 3 weeks and many August apps have been 4+ weeks, but we're at Ottawa VO. I will be curious to see if the length of background check differs between VOs. May the background check Gods be kind

And yes, from this forum it seems that BC is the last step before decision and PPR

Have you tried these weird steps from another forum member that works for many folks?

"Hello fellow Sep applicants, I'm brand new to this forum and I'm a Sep applicant as well, I will be posting my timelines in the spreadsheet soon but I want to try help those who are struggling to link their application to CIC, try the below steps as I saw a lot of people succeeding using this method

The combination of information that I used to find the application (finally) was:

1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name.
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application. I am sponsoring my wife, no dependents.

It popped up saying 1 application was found. Hope this helps someone trying to link their account.

Give this a go, hope it helps!!"
