yeah, and we missed a document that they requested, they've had it for about 3 weeks and i've called but the lady just says wait.

Was it a document for your spouse/sponsor? If so, that could explain the hold up.

they asked for the marriage certificate on the sponsor side. which they already had but it said marriage license (the state we were married recognizes this as the certificate with the stamp seal)

then they asked for birth cerificate for sponsored which I can't believe I forgot but I did. FML.

im hoping before christmas to hear something but who knows.

Yeah, that's pretty nitpicky. I went to the courthouse and got a certified copy of our marriage certificate because I was worried about the "ceremonial" one they give you the day of your wedding. We just photocopied my wife's birth certificate. Hopefully that will be enough.

Ok, so last week my husband received a letter stating: This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2016/10/21.

that means they have recieved it and will start looking at it. next you will get SA if they do not require additional documents.

still no movement on our app and still waiting for sa. I've completely lost hope such a frusturating thing to happen

Hey, I hope I can be of some encouragement. We originally applied in early September.... heard nothing for a MONTH - I called and they always told me no App was on file. I'm an American on a visitor visa, so I always had a number to give them to look up my account.

Next time I called, the SAME MOMENT I was on the phone with them, a courier knocked on my door with a returned application. My heart sank.

What did I miss in the 100 page app?? A few lines on my IMM5406 were not filled out how they wanted.

Good news - We fixed it as requested and sent it overnight the next day. 30 days later...... I didn't hear anything - again - so I thought the worst..... but ...

This time no news was good news! The guy on the phone told me the App was already in process and the Sponsor approved earlier that morning.

I still don't have any official letters, but everything online shows we are in process since 11/25.

I hope my story will encourage you not to lose hope Hang in there!
