Hey Everyone,

So the GCMS notes came in today!

Neat little feature I missed before is that at the bottom it shows you the exact date and time they pulled the electronic notes. Pretty neat!

Some quirks with the notes. First off, there really isn't much information provided. One note mentioned Interview Required and that was literally the entire note, two words.

The next day the note mentioned that interview queue letter was sent to the PA along with the original documentation etc. So this tells me that POS Indonesia had some major delay considering Singapore VO had already dispatched the letter that date (For real and it wasn't a delay in processing).

For the eligibility section it's still in progress. I found another few oddities here though. First thing is the due date isn't set to a year in advance (Maybe Bring Forward Date if that's what it was called). I also found it odd that the interview is assigned to RC-9570, the Mississauga office. I assumed this line should say RC-6057 (For the Singapore office).

But then later on in the notes it shows in the Event's log, it shows the interview (date and place is blank) although it says the event office is Singapore (Although I'm guessing she will have the Interview in Jakarta, Maybe Surabaya but I don't think VFS Global is tied to PR applications).

PS. That missing PA's birth certificate that the SVO never told us about DID in fact hold the application. Shortly after they had received it through uploading it through the case specific inquiry form, I noticed that our application had been picked up again.

So there you have it!

As usual I don't disappoint with my walls of text!

I wish this could be cross-posted to the Singapore thread as well. But I'm confident you guys are smart enough to help me out here to understand these notes.
They didn't give any hints why interview was necessary?

Hello everyone,
I'm a 20th October applicant. On May 13th I received a request to get my meds done again which i did on 31st May. Then, on 19th May I received an email for additional docs which was to pay the RPRF and send a copy of CSQ which i sent to them on 31st May as well. Have not heard from them all month so was worried a little. They emailed confirming they received the documents but i"m hoping there are no more hiccups along the way. Do you think i"m in line for an interview? Or what if there was an issue with my medical?

Hi Faisal,

I told you POS Indonesia is unreliable! I had my wife physically go to her local Pos office and give her name, her father's name, and her address so nothing gets lost/delayed.

Don't worry about the due dates, they generally don't mean much.

That's kind of unsettling that there is no details about why an interview is necessary..

I do know, that the reason for the CPC-M code is because CPC-M makes the final decision on eligibility. Once it says recommend pass or recommend interview the file is forwarded to a second officer at CPC-M who then makes the final determination.

The interview will definitely be held at the Canadian embassy in Jakarta.

I never did ask you.. Why didn't you guys submit the BC with the app?

RPRF request is always a good sign.

I highly doubt there is an issue with the medical as spousal sponsorship applicants are excessive demand exempt.

I would expect PPR soon.

What happens frequently is everytime they make a request and give you 30 days to submit the documents requested, is they then put your file away for 30 days and then pick it back up to see if the documents have been submitted.

For this reason I made absolutely sure we submitted everything required upfront including the RPRF so we never get a document request until PPR unless our medical expires

PPR Received today at 1:30 am EST ;D ;D ;D

12th Feb 2016 applicant
NDVO
DM on 8th or 9th May 2016

This is God speed and we are extremely happy and joyful.

My wife is already in Canada on Visitor Visa and luckily they have given option of sending passport to Ottawa for stamping. Just dispatched her passport, 2 photos and the passport request letter along with an Xpressport envelope to Ottawa, should reach them by tomorrow.

Once we receive her stamped passport, can we go to a local office for her landing formalities or would need to go on a border crossing only?

If we have to go to the Niagara Falls border crossing, can I (Applicant's spouse who is already a PR) accompany my wife during the flag-poling process?

Anyone who has either got their landing formality done within a local office or flag-poling at the border, kindly share your experiences.

Cheers to everyone receiving DM and PPR :D

Hello canadafsw2015!!

I received the passport request yesterday and I also am in Canada with visitor visa. Could you please to let me know what do I have to do if I want to remain in Canada and dont send the passports to my country (I feel I bit scared about loose them). I already write to VO but still waiting the answer.

I appreciate a lot your help.

Check how many days you have left on your Visitors visa, and give the VO one month to round everything up. If the days on the visa is more than that, then u can just send it from canada.

About your scare of losing your passport- send it thru DHL. i did that with my mine, coz i was traveling when i got my PPR, i stayed in the country that i was , sent my passport, and i got it back within a space of 8 days, then i travelled back to my home country.
