Do you have "in process" status for Permanent Resident? If you have that status it is because you have your SA.
Or.. Do you have just status for sponsorship?

It says:
Sponsorship application status: in process
Permanent residence application status: application received

At the risk of making a movie/book reference others won't remember - I feel like I'm dealing with Vogons when it comes to CIC.

If you don't have a good answer by phone, you could fill the form to enquire about your process

Here the webform:

Yeah I've done that already too but nothing (both calling and the form).

It still says in process. They had requested a missing form in Dec which we sent and was confirmed received Jan 7 but still nothing. No updates. Just nothing.

JUst a tip-- When your application is missing a form and CiC request for it, everything on the app goes on hold. The app will again start processing from the day CiC receives the document sent.

So does that reset the clock in terms of the typical SA wait time?

Technically it does.

Like this---
1. they start processing, they realize ur missing a document. then they stop ( repackage the app and put it back in the log) and request d missing doc.

2. they receive the missing doc, and that is the day ur app is considered a complete application, then they restart processing.

I got the 3rd line this morning is it a good sign?

Thank you so much. That at least makes me a feel a little better. I don't know why they can't just be transparent and detail it simply like that.

To add to the weirdness, I just got an email from CIC telling me to submit my inquiry via the case specific form. Which I did originally (it's the exact same link). I totally don't get it. I've just filled out the exact same info again (bang head here!).
