Hi everybody, I got good news today. My sponsorship is approuved with the quebec immigration and got CSQ for my wife.

How long the process took you? I am waiting still. It is suppose to be 25 days, but I don't trust these time frames anymore
They already took money, so I hope it won't take long.

You haven't received your SA yet? Have you tried checking the Ecas to see if anything has updated yet? Most people get the SA a few weeks after they receive their AOR. I hope you get it soon!!

It took about a month and half but that include christmas holidays. They receveived application on december 18th and start to work on it on january 12th and approuved on 26th. The 25 days begin when they begins to work on your application and doesnt include mailing time. If they already took money that mean you didnt miss any document in youre application. You should have positive answer soon

How do you know when they will start working, they will send a letter? Or just the day money was taken?

I call them on january 15th because i was worried. The lady who answered me was very friendly and she told me that information. The phone number is 1-877-864-9191 and if youre from Montreal 514-864-9191

Thank you I will wait few weeks now as they charged just recently and then give them a call
As I as well assumed that if they charged credit card then probably all forms are signed correctly

While this is great news, I wouldn't get too excited.

It’s our top priority over the coming years to bring those processing times down. I will be talking about that when we announce our plan in the next little while. This is not something you can do in a day. We have to put in place additional money, additional measures to improve efficiency and we will have a plan,” said Mr. McCallum.

Notice, coming years, and that's the simple fact of the matter. The process of devising an action plan, approving additional funding, hiring new works, training said works, working through the backlog of files simply can't, and won't, happen overnight. This is good news that the issue is being looked at. But I imagine most, if not all of us here today will be long through the immigration process before this has any effect.

It still says in process. They had requested a missing form in Dec which we sent and was confirmed received Jan 7 but still nothing. No updates. Just nothing.

Highly doubt this will apply to us, as usually it takes long time for them to implement anything, just like with our cases

Do you have "in process" status for Permanent Resident? If you have that status it is because you have your SA.
Or.. Do you have just status for sponsorship?
