OCTOBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

We mailed our application on 10-10-15 by courier and it was received promptly. We showed the return address as my address in the US. My husband is the sponsor and lives in Canada. I am getting ready to go to Canada for 6 months sometime between November 1st and December 15th.
If anything is returned will it come to my house in the US or will it go to the sponsor in Canada?

And when will we be able to check online for status, my application fees where done online and I have used the receipt number to check but as of yet, it is not found.

We did provide email addresses.

To answer your first question, if they will return your package for whatever reason it will be returned to your sponsor address in Canada. This happened to me last week am sponsoring my wife she is in Egypt. the application was returned to me in Canada. if you provided an email you will get correspondence through it . i still think they will email your sponsor at this stage since it's still the first stage of sponsorship .

I'm not sure when the status will appear on e-cas as it didn't happen with me yet. but am gathering after you get the first AOR it should appear on line . good luck and hope that you will enjoy the weather here in Canada before snow starts

Thanks! The original letter from employer we sent was on letterhead but their letterhead is black and white and they signed in black ink so I hope CIC won't think it's a copy and not an original.

My husband is in the North Peace region of BC. The first time I went there in 2012 it got to -40 and had 4 feet of snow on the ground. Lol. But I have been there in summer, too and I think it's beautiful all year.

I too had my package returned - sent it September 24th/15 and they sent it back 0ctober 1st/2015
I was furious - it went back out for the second time on October 14th/2015
But I don't think they will send your package back because of your photo copy job letter in black and white. They mostly send the packages back due to incomplete forms submitted

We just submitted today Outland from Mexico as Common-Law. The package should be there in 2 days and then what?
I really hope it't not returned but I am not very optimistic after reading all these October applications.
Not sure what to do now or how to get all the information after my name. Thanks for any advise.

CIC received my package!

I seriously hope they don't return mine :-X after all that work and effort too. I wonder when the tracking system will work for applications and I wonder what details we would need to put in, there's a space for a the receipt number but it asks for personal information but I'm not sure if it's me (The Canadian sponsor) or of the applicant (the outland spouse).

Oh well I guess I'll get an email in a month or two

Use the sponsors details with the receipt number, once you have AOR you can login

Nah, you cant check your status online now until u receive your first AOR ( Acknowledgement of Receipt) IN the AOR, u will get both the UCI and Application number. UCI - your sponsor can use that to sign in and AN- you can use that to sign in.

Dont worry about the medicals. After your AOR, and u can log in to e-CAS, then u will see a line indicating that you medicals are received. and even if it wasnt, which is a rarity, CIC will just request you to do another medicals.

Its far too early for you to have heard anything yet, there are still September applicants waiting for AOR. Based on the date your application was received you should expect to hear something in early November.

Elections had slowed immigration down incredibly.
According to Sept applicants people are taking anywhere from 45 to 54 days just to get AOR!
SA is a month after that. hope the new Govt processes faster.

I'm in the exact same boat!

And I forget whoever said it, but the comment about not getting stressed to improve your relationship...after I got that application in I felt my relationship improve a bunch.

Processing times havent changed for sponsorship evaluation in last 15 days.
seems like they have put a halt to processing until Trudeau takes office on Nov 4th.
And a week after that... probably the worst time to apply for spousal visa in history... :'( :'(
