hey guys, Please help me.

I submitted my wife's application 4 weeks ago and it was returned today that I did not fill the 'use of representative' form.

I am not using any representative. Who is to fill this form? As I am her sponsor, should I complete the form as her representative?

Please advise
what I did on my application I wrote N/A.. you can put your name if you want to be her representative..

I have given up trying weekly as well. Nothing has updated for me and its weird because some people see it and some don't.
I know! It worries me that my medical result didn't make it to them.

Do you know why they said to wait another month? I was also told to wait a month too! :'(
The impolite side of me has reasons that I think but that's not helpful. I will say this. Today I called them again and the guy that answered was extremely rude. I put on my happiest, nicest voice and started the conversation by asking him about his day. He interrupted me with simply "what's your question"? I politely asked him if he would like my UCI number and again he asked me what my question was. So I extremely politely began to explain that my application was received on October 21 and I was officially at 118 days. At which point he finally took my UCI number and put me on hold. In the end he wasn't really able to help me. I did however learn that when I last called them on January 11 they did actually send a request for an update to whatever magical repository but they have not yet had a response. He did at least agree that the timing was quite long and not really acceptable and could not even tell me when I should call back. He also said that even though we have our FBI forms that we should not send them along until they request them. So I guess that was a little bit useful.

We have submitted 4 case contact forms and now 2 phone calls. By March 7 or so I will probably call again if I have not heard anything. I am completely with you and your frustration. I just find it almost unfathomable that any organization can operate with such disorganization, lack of customer service and an overall vagueness in their process. Maybe it's because I worked in customer service for such a long time? Who knows! It just doesn't seem like the right thing to do on actions or decisions that have such a big impact on people's lives.

I hope you hear soon and have better luck than me.

I called them today as well and I must've talked to the same guy as you. He refused to take my uci number and said I was premature in calling them since 60 days is an average and we shouldn't be so impatient. I advised him that many people get their SA within a day or so of receiving aor and he said I should only discuss my case. He repeatedly said call back after a month. And even then, don't call. Wait for the letter. In other words, don't call us, we'll call you. Honestly don't know what's the hold up and with no clarity, it's so hard to know what to do and who to contact!

A lot of people get their SA not long after AOR and some get it weeks after so I don't think thats a good guideline to go by. When you are not long past the average processing time, and no basic errors such as missing form or whatever have been noted then I imagine its hard for a call centre operator to know exactly why as case is a week or so past average processing times.

When the call centre sends an inquiry to CIC, CIC has up to 5 weeks to respond.once they send the inquiry there isn't any point in calling back until those 5 weeks are.... the agents can't send another inquiry. And they just keep referencing the one that was already sent...

I know from personal experience. My application was received on the 3rd of November but they didn't bother opening my file until the 22nd of January...

Hope this information helps...

I had asked if there were any missing forms and the agent said that if it was anything missing, agents would send an email/letter requesting it and they wouldn't wait as long to advise about missing forms or documents.

So with mine, they never sent an inquiry because the agent said that even though I got a notification for AOR on Feb 4th, my 'envelope' was opened on Feb 7th and it's in processing. So until 1 month has passed starting from Feb 7th, they can't launch an official query.

I even sent an email to case specific and they only emailed me yesterday to say 'we are verifying that your case is in processing'. Thanks - like I didn't know that ???

That it useful. I just don't know why CIC can't tell me that. They didn't even tell me they'd sent a request on. The trouble is that I'm in week 6 since they sent it so I'm still in the same place

I would contact your Member of Parliament... they can submit a special inquiry providing the one submitted by the call centre has expired and they can sometimes get you answers or get your application moving again...

Mine took 5 weeks in total. They issued it 3 weeks after my credit card was charged.

Ikr! I'll call back in a week or so.
